Comments: Marty and Eli are twins. They do get into some excitement. They are helping out their Uncle Brian.
The art is rough but with a cute style. The art shows off the boys and others going about their normal lives.
Then we go back a few days. The twins do show signs of powers. We see them at their new school. Now their teacher seems up to something. She knows a Dr. Horatio Atlas who seems sinister. What is he up to, who does he work for?
A mysterious girl Mocha shows up as well. What are her intentions? She is illustrated as a cute beauty.
The twin boys do work well together. The reading each others thoughts is done in a way that it is not over done but enough so you know something different is going on.
This is a good introductory issue. You get to meet the main characters and learn a little about them. There is some action and excitement. The story starts to unfold and sets up for more.

Comments: This issue we get a origin story on the boys. It is short and to the point and explains things well enough especially if you know the legends of Kitsune. If not it still gives you enough information. That plus the fact they have the Viribus compound in them to. Marty and Eli do have special abilities.
Fort Far Away what a cute name for a fort in the middle of nowhere. Dr. Atlas has plans for the twins.
The twins and Kitsune go into action on a rescue mission at Fort Far Away. It is interesting to see them using their abilities and the way Kitsune guides them.
The twins are shown misusing their abilities and it is played down. Using their abilities to invade the privacy of an innocent for selfish reasons is wrong. That wrongness is just skipped over here.
The adventure has just started for Marty and Eli these two teen boys lead a normal life, school, friends, family yet they now have started on another part of their lives. They are more then just two teens, so much more.

Comments: Marty and Eli start their day off just like any other teen boys. Than we see they are not so ordinary.
The art is simple and basic. Jennifer is drawn cute.
The twins Marty and Eli do go about their school day. They are just a couple of boys who also happen to have super powers. Dr. Atlas is still after them. They do have a guardian angel in Mocha the cute Kitsune.
Having the boys at least one of them having romantic feeling for a female classmate is a nice sidebar to the story. This issue not a lot happens other than the boys still misusing their powers and Mocha reprimands them just not very strongly.
Sometimes the lettering gets cute off so you only see the top half of the letters.
It is kind of weird and cute at the same time as the twins talk to each other telepathically. The twin boys are written together as brothers and friends.

Comments: The letters keep getting cut off making it harder to read the comic.
The twin boys Marty and Eli are just going through a regular school day. The boys bring home a teaching assistant that their uncle takes a liking to. So do the boys and she seems to be playing all three of them.
The more the boys use their powers the better they seem to get at using them. She is doing far more than just that. She is cute and has big breasts but she is working for the wrong guy. She is though still brought across as likable.
Marty and Eli are two boys just trying to live and enjoy their lives and chasing girls to. They enjoy their lives and the fact they have powers just makes it that much cooler. These teen boys are your average boys so except for the powers they could be you.

Comments: Eli actually steps up and talks to the girl he likes. He kind of stumbles a bit but forges ahead and keeps his cool. He really does make some a lot of progress.
Two men after the twins find out against twins with powers they should have prepared better. Here to Marty discovers they have another power. They have lots of powers and they are shown enjoying that fact.
Eli and Jennifer are starting up a relationship. Young love is blossoming. The two boys in this regard behave as young men do. Jennifer is a cute girl and drawn to show that . Overall the art in the comic is simple and basic yet it fits the story.
The boys using their abilities in public may not be a good idea. Do they want to draw attention to themselves?
Marty and Eli are just starting out on their adventures as super powered being and learning more about their abilities each day. How powerful are they?

Comments: The Powers brothers are enjoying their fame. These two brothers are great guys just not everyone is happy about their fame. Drama does happen. Kirby is feeling sorry for himself. He is shown being really bothered by the success of the brothers and that he does not have that.
Marty and Eli Powers are campus heroes. They are suppose to be keeping a low profile and this popularity may cause trouble.
Marty and Eli may have powers yet we get to see they are just two ordinary students. They care about their friends. Which includes Kirby and something is up with him. Kirby is taking a turn into territory that he may regret. You can feel the tension around him.
The Powers brothers are down to earth heroes.

Comments: There is tension between Kirby and the twins Marty and Eli. Kirby is jealous of them. The drama is high.
Something is up with Kirby he is changing. He is becoming more than he was. Will Kirby's attitude change as well?
Dr. Marcus Jordan meets the twins and we see how evil he is. He is also very smart with two plans. Kirby is part of those plans. Kirby is unsure whether to stand with the Dr. or his friends.
Marty and Eli are two students with powers and a mysterious friend. They do what is right while trying to keep their powers hidden. They are likable guys that you will care about. You will find yourself routing for them.
The villain Dr. Marcus Jordan is toned down. He does not come across as much of a threat. The twins have not been fully tested yet. They are still learning about their powers. While they learn and explore their powers and the new things happening in their lives you get to follow along and experience it all.

Comments: A thief is shown in action this is a realistic depiction of how one would really act and move as he goes about the robbery. There is something strange about the robbery and how the robber did it.
Marty and Eli Power are shown using one of their special abilities. They are both shown in romances as well. One brother has a beautiful girlfriend and the other a gorgeous furry. It is wonderful to see them interacting as couples.
The art style is cute. The hair styles are fun to see. The characters are normal looking enough until they use their special abilities their powers than you see they are special.
We get a look at the boys life as regards their math class. They end up needing a tutor a Patricia Theorem. It is easy to see she is hiding something.
A thief the same one from before is back. The thief escapes the boys but how? What does a series of triangles have to do with it?
The way the two brothers interact with each other does show off really well their relationship. Their uncle is shown as well and he is portrayed as your average ordinary guy.
This book is a fun read with a few mysteries and two great brothers living an adventure.

Comments: There are some mysterious robberies going on. The twins Marty and Eli Powers are on the job trying to catch the thief. There is a lot more going on here than just one ordinary thief. The two twins are like the Hardy Boy detectives just with powers and stranger cases. These two brothers do find themselves involved in a lot of extra curricular activities.
The story does flow along smoothly with not a lot of hard hitting action but rather a nice slow moving flow to it. The art does show off the characters in a nice normal way for the most part. The few times though that the Powers Twins use their powers the effect is well drawn.
The villain does come across as a villain just not an overly evil one.
The story is low key. The art is as well. The two boys they work well together. The way the characters intermingle with each other is amazing and so well written.

Comments: The boys get their own super nick name. Yes it is fitting and sounds great. Now we get to hear about the boys and their love life. Not a lot of drama in their lives in that respect.
Marty and Eli Power are two likable twins that get to be heroes fighting evil villains whose plans they thwart.
We learn there is another villain the Convincer. She has some interesting things about her.
There is an attack on the boys and it is one deadly one with explosive consequences.
The story treats the boys as much as regular people as it does as super-heroes. Here we only get a slight showing of them using their abilities.
This issues has more of them talking about their girlfriends than anything else. They are two young boys so it is only natural that they are interested in girls. The one girl is more than just a girl. She is a wonderful character.
The twin boys do go great together.

Comments: The twins do have romantic lives. Both have lovely girlfriends. They are teenage boys so of course it is only natural think about girls and girls think about them.
Marty actually is having girl problems with Mocha being jealous of Quincy. Marty does not choice between them but makes it clear he wants to pursue the one over the other.
Eli and Jenny are into each other as she is always all over him.
Marty and Eli are having a difference of opinion over whether they should accept money for doing heroic deeds.
Marty and Eli's science class gets a little exciting. The presentation of this scene needed to be done in a more exciting manner. It has some excitement yet not enough to get you feeling the danger.
The art does have a nice style to it. The twins do look good.
This is a fun read about two twins coming of age and having powers.

Comments: Marty and Eli are under investigation for an explosion. These boys are likable. They have abilities yet are still just two teenagers. They have the normal interests school and girls then we see someone is trying to kill them.
Now with the boys back home things do quite down just before the excitement explodes. The Convincer has been busy. She does have a useful ability.
The ending will leave you wondering what is going on?
The twin boys are a delight they do have a little drama yet not enough that it brings the book down. These boys make reading this comic a delight. They are brothers and it shows. The fact they have powers is just a nice bonus added in that makes this comic work so well. Marty and Eli are two boys ordinary people can identify with.

Comments: Marty and Eli it seems are not getting along well. Than to complicate matters Marty has another twin. Marty and Eli are twins and now Marty has another one acting as if he is him. Now he is causing trouble for Marty. This all seems to tie in with Marty's girlfriend Quincy.
The Powers boys are facing more and more danger from the Convincer and a shape shifter. These two are after the twins and they are getting to them. Marty finds out that the shapeshifter has been up to a lot more then he knew.
The art is done to make the characters look normal as everyday people. Every once in awhile though something happens so you know Marty and Eli plus some of the people they know are not so ordinary.
Eli and his girlfriend Jennifer spend some alone time together and they do bond more. They make a great couple.
The comic has drama and there is a lot of interaction between all the characters.

Comments: The twins Marty and Eli are at odds over the decisions Marty is making in his life. He is following his girlfriends advice. She may be leading him on for her own reasons.
Eli meanwhile has an Imposter to catch, a person who can look like anyone. Eli has a plan to catch this Imposter and it just might work. Eli's plan as he carries it out has him acting cool as he knows exactly what to do.
The art is nicely done. It has great colors and shading. The characters pop out at you. Each one has their own unique look. They all look normal yet the story lets you know otherwise.
Dr. Atlas he is mentioned a lot. Here when we see him he appears to be just a normal doctor out to help others. Yet he is thought of as a major villian. Which one is he? Eli sure did come up with a plan only problem is it may back fire on him in a huge way, if not now then in the future. Being honest is the best policy.
So not so much teen drama in this issue only super powers drama. Two villians find a change in their life style may just be for the better.
It is so wonderful to see the twins back together on friendly terms. They do work so well together. Powers Squared is a power team.

Comments: Mocha a Kitsune is being chased by a small mob. The mob it turns out are also Kitsume's.
Now the twin boys Marty and Eli are having some problems at school.
This issue takes place before all the others ones. The twins when they see someone in trouble they are off to help right away. It does show you here that these two boys are heroes in their hearts.
The art has a nice clean style to it. Everything is drawn clearly. It is has a little bit of a cartoonish style to it. It works well showcasing the boys.
The other shape shifters nothing is explained about them. It makes you wonder will we see them in the current issues.
The two brothers are just your normal average twins. Until they help a kitsune. This is the start of them becoming real heroes.
This issue does move along slowly. There is some action just it is not done in an exciting manner.
Seeing the two twin brothers Marty and Eli and how they get along so well is the main drawing feature here.

Comments: A Kitsune which is a fox with many tails and magical powers is looking for food when a three clawed bird a Raven grabs it. This fight between the two does not end well for either of them. The Raven was a Yatagarasu a magical creature to.
Like the Kitsune can change to Mocha a human so to can the Raven it changed a human and gave powers to Billy O'Shea. This Billy is a threatening individual. You can feel the tension in the air between him and the twins.
Aunt Raven is a gorgeous woman and you just know she is the Yatagarasu. Billy and Raven are there for a purpose. What they want makes sense and they deserve it, how they are going about getting it is the problem.
Raven is definitely illustrated as a beautiful sexual woman. She knows what men want.
The twins and Billy well they are going to have a face off. How it will go well the cliffhanger kinda ending lets you know to come back next issue to find out. Generating interest in this way works if done right and it is done right here. The twins will have their hands full.

Comments: Billy a young boy sees a raven injured and decides to nurse it back to health. You can tell this three legged raven is no ordinary raven. The raven is grateful and so Billy can now do extraordinary things.
Raven knows when Billy is in danger. She wants to protect him and she can. Billy does care about his mother and Raven can not protect them both.
Dr. Atlas is shown as an evil man. He is the enemy of both Raven and Mocha. Raven does hate Mocha and wants her revenge on her and rightly so. Mocha though will do whatever she can to protect the twins, Marty and Eli.
Other than a little roughhousing between Billy and Marty and Eli there is little action. The twins do not use their abilities at all.
The art portrays all the people just how you would expect them to look. Marty and Eli as two typical teens, Billy as a touch teen, Mocha as caring, Raven as seductive, and Dr. Atlas as evil and as a man who never gives up.
With Billy now a teen and working with Raven, Mocha and the twins have met their match. The magic from Mocha and Raven is in the air and these two are at ends with each other. Yet it is Dr. Atlas who is in control.
Things are leading to a direct confrontation with Dr. Atlas.

Comments: Raven is only helping Dr. Atlas to protect her ward. Dr. Atlas though is not a man of his word. He only wants the Viribus Compound.
Everything comes to a head this issue as all those involved are gathered together. The Doctor and his assistant face off against Marty, Eli, Billy, Raven and Mocha. Its needles and guns vs powers. The powers used are not over the top but just enough to make a difference. The teleporting is used quite god in the way it is illustrated and worked in to the fighting.
The art does come across as simplistic at times. Other times you can see more detail. The close ups of the facial expressions are done well. Raven and Mocha may not be human yet they are women just that aspect is not shown off much. They are beautiful women yet that aspect of them is not shown.
The story did not delve to much into any character building. The action was the main part of this issue and it was nice to see.
This issue does wrap up the story and now the twins are ready for something else.

Comments: The twins friends are being attacked by some mysterious force. The art pefectly shows off what is happening and the characters are well illustrated so you know they are teens at school. Yet the way they act the twins you can tell they have dealt with unexplained events before. The boys find themselves directly under attack and they formulate a plan.
Two or three Yokai or Kamaitachis a kind of animal that uses the wind to attack are attcking the twins Eli and Marty. This issue shows that one of the twins is the more intelligent and makes the plans while the other expects him to.
The three attackers are illustrated first as shadowy threats and then as cute furry animals.
Marty and Eli we see interacting here. They do have powers and abilities yet they do not act like super-heroes. They do act as brave teens handling a unique situation that can and does put them in danger. These boys here you see a bond between them.
This is a great all ages comic about heroes. They are just your average teenagers who happened to get super powers.

Comments: Marty and Eli are looking forward to spring break. Eli we see is in love with Jennifer his girlfriend. These two are all lovey dovey.
The boys find themselves working with Agent Red Rivers on a matter of National Security. The boys are recruited. It does seem odd that the government would use them instead of its own resources. Even with their powers they are still just school boys.
Marty we see is in a serious relationship with Mocha. Both boys are being teens interested in the opposite sex.
The mission the government gives Marty and Eli is serious yet they seem to be clowning around some about it. The way the mission goes there just seems to be something fishy going on.
The art style has lots of details. The colors stand out. The characters are between realistic and cartoon.
The story does not have much excitement other than the twins making out with their girlfriends. The Weapon of Mass Destruction was a let down. There was a little mystery that makes the story interesting.
The twins attitude is to cavalier. They have powers yet they are treated and act like ordinary teens. The reader needs to know they are special. The one is dating a magical fox yet their time together shows the reader a couple making out only.
Marty and Eli are two special twins that will have you caught in their magical personality. When they are done right.
Richard Vasseur
