Comments: Batman is shown as a big muscled guy going into action against Pyg. Robin is with him and the two do see plenty of action against Pyg and his Dollotron’s.
Batman does look imposing when he enters but the Shadow is frightening. The Shadow pays the Pyg a visit and it is the Shadow who doesn’t know.
Batman in his Batcave is a brooding sight. He is drawn dark and melodramatic.
Batman and his son Robin have a strained relationship. Batman wants to be overly protective and Robin wants to be free to do as he pleases and take whatever risks he wants to.
This is a good opening issue to introduce the characters and set up for the Shadow and Batman to team-up against the Silent Seven.

Comments: Robin finds himself in battle and in need of help. Who shows up well its not Batman.
The Shadow and Batman do know of each other. Just with Robin now in the Shadow’s city they meet. All three are after the Silent Seven.
The ones in control of the evil in New York are revealed.
Batman and the Shadow join together and what a team they make. Whether fighting crime on the streets as a hard-hitting duo or in the boardroom. These two are looking smart in their business suits.
More action and less talk is needed. The drama with Robin and Batman, son, and father is ok for a brief time but here it goes on too long.
Batman and the Shadow are alike in many ways and these two forces for justice combined will be unstoppable.

Comments: Khan and Al Ghul and the Silent Seven are the foes the Shadow and Batman face. The Shadow does not seem himself after recent events. Batman though still has a cool head. Damian as well is out after the Silent Seven.
Bruce and Lamar are using financial resources to draw out the Silent Seven. It does drag out as they are just talking and so are Khan and Al Ghul.
While Batman and the Shadow battle Khan his glasses disappear and comer back, the artist missed drawing them in a few panels. Batman is illustrated as a tough fighter and with big muscles.
The ending here is confusing and what it implies is something amazing and unexpected.

Comments: Khan has taken control of Batman's mind he breaks free but still Khan has both Batman and the Shadow on their knees. Batman never stops fighting his will is indomitable. The battle of wills is as impressive as the physical battle.
Khan is showing his superiority over the Shadow. Khan is a control freak. He has good reason to think so. Meanwhile Damian faces his grandfather, what will the outcome be between these two?
Having all these fighters in this issue you would think there would be more fighting.
The best scenes are between Alfred and Batman as we see how much Batman truly values Alfred not as just a butler but as a close friend.
It would be nice to see more physical action taking place.

Comments: Its Khan vs the Shadow and Ra's vs Damien. While Batman searches. Khan is a devious soul. He tries to worm his way into your mind. He could be there without you knowing.
Batman is relentless in his search to find Damien. It is made very clear you take his son he is coming for you. No matter who he faces no matter the odds he will not stop.
Batman, Damien and the Shadow all stand ready to battle Khan and Ra's Al Ghul. Khan seems so sure of himself.
All these shadowy figures make for a dark creepy story. Could the Secret Seven really be ruling the world from behind the scenes. If they are how would one stop them without destroying the world.
Batman is facing his hardest fight yet. Not knowing whether he is really himself or a dead slave to Khan.
Khan and Ra's may be to much for the Dark Knight and the Man who knows?
