Comments: This trade paperback collects issues 1-8 of the eight issue series.
The visuals are stunning. You will be left with no doubt this is a future sci-fi story. The scenery of space and the vehicles there will will leave you in awe.
Jake leads a rescue team to a asteroid mine that has gone silent. As they investigate the site you will get a ominous feeling of dread as if something is waiting.
The slow build up of suspense is well done. When it comes it comes out of nowhere still going slow as the terror builds. Than it arrives.
The characters you get a brief introduction to them here enough so that you want to know more about them. The rookie is cute.
This story plays out like a movie and it would make a great sci-fi horror movie.
Something is with these people it has invaded one of them. What exactly it is is a mystery and the threat level is extreme. The suspense scales up as the excite does to.
The illustrations are beautifully done to show a futuristic setting of sci-fi with a menacing setting. The story flows along like a sci-fi horror one pulling you in to its terrifying embrace.
The investigator from Mars has a nicely designed ship and he is determined to find out what happened and what caused the deaths.
As they investigate the mining facility on the asteroid, on the ship station Benson something dark and mysterious is happening and the crew will never be the same again.
The mystery and suspense will have you hanging on ever page waiting to see what comes next and hoping it is not for you.
A landing party makes landfall. They are there to find out what happened. As the landing party investigate you get the feeling something is going to happen and that it is just around the corner. The suspense grows thick as you wait for whatever comes next.
The art is beautifully done and helps to build up the suspense in this comic that flows like a horror movie.
Jake Dixon is on the mining asteroid to find out what happened.
Things are moving and things are happening that will grab your attention. The mystery will keep you guessing and keep you afraid. Something is going to happen and it is not going to be nice. People will die.
Something is going on at this mining asteroid. The scenery in the mine is exceptional. It makes you feel as if you are there.
One crew member that returned to the ship is under going changes. She is definitely not herself.
In the asteroid an attack is under way and Jake and his team are just trying to stay alive. What exactly is going on is still a mystery. There is though an intelligence behind it all.
The whole story unfolds like a sci-fi horror movie. There is a terror building which pulls you into the story. This issue though does drag out a little bit. The scenes where people are under attack are menacing with a weird feel to them as you see the creature or whatever it is attacking.
Dave Kennedy does know how to draw scenes that grab your attention. With this comic you just have to be careful something else does not grab you.
On the asteroid a monster is loose and after the humans there. There is another monster to a combined creature. The arm on this thing is huge with so many muscles.
The way the characters are presented you do not get a chance to learn about them as much as is needed so you will really care what happens to them. Their names need to be used more.
The story does unfold as if you are in a horror movie. You can feel the tension and the horror as the creature follows the crew. You know no one is safe.
The art is wonderful in its frightening quality. The creatures you see here will put you on edge.
This book flows along so smoothly and fast it is over before you know it.
Onboard the shuttle ship returning some of the crew to the main ship it stalks them. The creature is intelligent and that just makes it all the scarier. Yes this is a horror story in space.
The art shows off the facial expressions beautifully. You can see how scared these people are.
The tension and excitement are building as everyone is trying to go somewhere. Who will survive?
Jake is leading this group of people in their fight. The only problem with the story is that the characters are not gotten into enough so you fully know who they are and care about them.
The creature art is done to elicit fear. Be afraid, be very afraid.
In space, heroes still live and here we see one making the ultimate sacrifice to save another life.
Chief Dixon is illustrated with fantastic emotional expressions.
On the ship the horror has started and so has the blood flowing. The alien thing is alive and on the move. Dr. Anderson does not seem to be on the side of his fellow humans which makes him one scary person.
This book as it goes along gives you more insight into the characters themselves. Plus the monstrous creatures are making their move. In space horror does exist and it is on a murderous killing spree as the bodies stack up.
The art does delivery a frightening story filled with scenes of blood and a mounting horror as things move along. In space no one can hear you scream but you can still die a horrible death.
The outer space space station is an amazing work of art. It is stunning to behold.
The survivors are trying to make it off the space station. The suspense is there as the creature just wants to kill all the humans. You do not know who will be next.
The creature is a terrifying thing that only wants to conquer and kill. The build up in tension has you looking for what is coming next in this sci-fi horror action thriller.
The story does need to get you interested more in the characters. Having the mother and baby being in danger does get you sympathetic towards their plight.
This is your basic outer space evil alien horror story which would make for a great movie.
