Comments: Betty and Veronica in this comic are leaders of a bike gang, the Vixens.
The art is a way different style than other Archie comics. The characters have a weird look one that makes them look almost like a cartoon doll.
Now we follow along to see how Betty and Veronica became part of a motorcycle gang.
The South Side Serpents are a motorcycle gang that Archie makes them angry at him. Poor Archie he can be so clumsy.
The setup and the storyline are good for this but it just does not come together right. Betty and Veronica just do not have the personalities here to be biker babes. They look cute but not tough.
An all-girl biker gang now that is cool and hot.

Comments: Betty & Veronica have a motorcycle gang. They do act a bit tough. Yet they do still come across as goody-goodies.
This issue shows Betty and Veronica picking out the members of their gang. Tony, Midge, Ethel, and Evelyn make up the rest of the members. Well, the Vixens are now together but they still need to be together as a team. They also need to get way better at being a motorcycle gang.
The Vixens are nowhere near ready to face the Southside Serpents gang.
This comic needs a lot more to it. Some action would be great. Some good poses since it is full of females, show them off.
Betty and Veronica here do not seem ready to lead a gang. They could be though. The Vixens do have a great membership.

Comments: Well this issues was leading up to the big moment. It is Vixens vs Serpents and winner gets Riverdale.
Betty really gets heated up and excited in this issue. She is willing to risk it all. The Serpents leader is a mean uncaring guy.
Having Betty and Veronica and the other girls, Toni, Midge and Ethel as biker babes is certainly a new and different way to portray them. Betty and Veronica and their characters do not fit the role well. Adding in a few others like Bubbles and Evelyn does improve it. The setting overall just does not work well.

Comments: It is the South Side Serpents vs the Vixens in a motorcycle race between the Serpents leader Fangs and Betty. This turns into the South Side Serpents all males against the Vixens all females plus one ex South Side Serpent their only female member. So its girls vs boys.
The art is bland. The fight are not done to badly. They could be more exciting.
Well the story is anticlimactic. The characters needed to be explored more. The big race is a let down. Most of it does not happen.
It is great to see Betty so in your face and tough as nails.

Comments: The Vixens take in a Roller Derby game. Ronnie uses it to try to teach the other Vixens that there are other strong, tough girls out there. Plus they do some bonding as well. Now the girls it looks like are getting a new member. A red headed beauty.
The art does have some emotion in it. It is though flat looking and the characters seem worn down.
The issue needed more to it. Either action or character development.
There are a few scenes of the girls actions tough especially Cheryl she is a girl who is stuck up, mean and rude but she does the right thing for those in need. Cheryl does reach out with a helping hand.
Even after five issues it is weird to see the Riverdale girls as bikers. The roles just do not suit them.

Comments: The girls of Riverdale do not fit into the roles of biker gang babes. Cheryl now this girl is shown as tough as nails. The girls want to keep other girls safe but are they the best ones to do so.
The art is plain, drab, boring. The girls are not illustrated at all to show off their beauty. The adults are just people drawn in the story they have nothing that makes them stand out.
There needed to be a lot more happening in this issue. More drama, more character building, better art, poses that complimented the characters. Some action would have been great to. At the end there is a small amount of peril again though it is next to nothing the presented in a boring manner. An injection of thrills is needed.
Betty and Veronica and all the other characters of Riverdale are almost impossible to recognize.
An all female motorcycle gang is a cool idea and done right makes for a wonderfully exciting story.

Comments: The Riverdale cheerleaders are drawn with basic simple faces and the uniforms they are wearing are almost sexless. The art is so drab and lifeless. Cheryl's hair is so long and there is so much of it.
The Vixens meet the Thrashers. They almost brawl but do not they just chat.
Having Betty and Veronica and a few other Riverdale girls as Biker Babes does take them out of the element you were used to them being in. The story does not get into making them tough biker babes it just assumes you will think they are. Cheryl is the only one who is truly into character. She can be made to come across as one tough girl.
This comic though needs more focus. The characters and what they are doing should be better brought across.
The biker attire definitely could use some work. They should be more realistic and with a touch of sexual appeal. Other than Cheryl none of the females are drawn to be attractive.
The idea of making the Riverdale girls into tough biker chicks is a good idea.

Comments: Veronica and Betty are not the ones you knew these biker babes are tough. They are on the warpath to help the abducted girls. The rest of the Vixens are supporting them on this mission.
The girls do figure who is behind it all and they go after them. Things start heating up as a Vixen finds herself in deadly peril. Mad Doc Doom makes for a somewhat dangerous villain. The danger is made real.
The art has the girls looking grungy. Betty does look great at times as a tough biker babe.
The Riverdale girls as a biker gang just does not work. The interactions between the characters all seem off. The Vixens act tough but do not actually come across as tough.
If the girls are going to be a biker gang they need to be more like one not just as girls playing at it. Plus throwing in some outlaw guy who has committed crimes is not enough to make him a real threat.
The Vixens do need much more to it.

Comments: The Vixens are out to get Doc. They are shown as tough girls who push back and push around thugs to get information. Their toughness seems over done.
Veronica is shown with a tough attitude and she is willing to butt heads with her dad. Also she is willing to lose his money over her ideals.
Betty, Veronica, Cheryl and the other Vixens all stick together against Doc.
The art has the females looking almost as if they are males. At times it is hard to tell.
The action as the gang takes on Doc is semi exciting and short lived. Cheryl and Veronica do the most action wise as Betty leads the gang. More drama and more of a story that has more to it was needed.
The Riverdale girls are portrayed here in a way that is totally different than usual and no Archie so they get a chance to shine on their own. That shine though is dirty and gritty the same way the girls are shown.

Comments: The Vixens are on the run. They are in Milwaukee. Here they are helping with charities and just helping anyone they can. Next San Francisco where the Vixens learn some people look up to them as heroes. Because of the Vixens inspiring others other women and man to have started standing up for females.
The characters are drawn flat and lifeless. The art does improve as the comic goes on.
The way this series does inspire females of any kind, age, size, shape, race to stand up for themselves is a powerful message that should be listened to.
The characters are used differently from the regular Archie Universe yet in their cores they are the same. Veronica and Betty and the other females are all caring people. They help others.
The message is loud and clear that females deserve to be treated with respect.
