The CW: Stargirl
One of my favorites. They have good writers on this show and the storylines keep my attention. I also love all of the costumes.
The CW: Batwoman
Batman has been missing for 3 years. Batwoman becomes the new justice fighting vigilante for Gotham City. With her flaming red hair and form fitting Bat costume, the bad guys have a lot to be afraid of.
BET: American Soul
I grew up with Soul Train and never realized that Don Cornelius had so much drama going on. This is a fascinating semi-documentary that has me hooked. The music is spectacular as they feature Sly and the Family Stone; James Brown and Kool and the Gang. The storyline has me hooked. I also enjoy the cut throat tactics of Dick Clark as he tries to steal some of Don's dancers. I feel connected to this show, because I actually tried out for American Bandstand in 1979 and they said I was too old for the show.
USA Network: Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story
This true story drama has me sitting right on the edge-of-my seat. You can see the build up that leads to disaster. Betty can only take so much from her estranged husband and now it's time for revenge!
HBO Max: Doom Patrol
I read the comics when I was a little boy. The TV series compliments the comic book. My favorite characters are Hollywood starlet Rita Farr and her gelatin substance body; Cyborg who is part of the Teen Titans is also part of Doom Patrol. Cliff Steele, a very awesome cyborg!
Netflix: Warrior Nun
I love the fact that superheroes are grabbed up by Hollywood that come from other publishing houses. I am a great fan of Ben Dunn's Warrior Nun Areala and I am a big fan of Netflix Warrior Nun.
The CW: The 100; Riverdale; Roswell - New Mexico; Legacies; Nancy Drew; Black Lightning; Pandora; Two Sentence Horror Stories.
I tried to get into the groove of all of the above mentioned TV series from the CW and none of these shows really kept my attention. All of these shows I dropped off my viewing list. I tried watching them again during the pandemic and they still didn't catch on.
The CW: DC's Legends of Tomorrow
Now this show has my attention, I love time traveling stories and in this series they bump into Jack the Ripper, Bonnie and Clyde, Black Caesar, Al Capone, etc. Yep, I'm hooked!
AMC: Creepshow
AMC seems to always get it right, from the Walking Dead to shows like Creepshow, an anthology of horror stories that get you hooked instantly.
AMC: Nos4a2
Nos4a2 is a masterpiece and is part of the Joe Hill / Stephen King Universe. Pennywise has even made an appearance on Nos4a2. You would think Christmas Land would be a safe place, but not in this reality!
SyFy Channel: Vagrant Queen; Van Helsing; Wynonna Earp; Blood Drive; 12 Monkeys; Z Nation; Bitten; Dominion; Alice; Dune; Pain Killer Jane; Sliders; Ghost Wars & Being Human.
When you can't find anything else on TV, you can always find plenty of entertainment on the SyFy Channel. The legacy of Van Helsing lives on with this channel. Wynonna Earp keeps the Wyatt Earp legend going. Doc Holiday is still around to assist Wynonna! Z Nation - zombies galore!
