Comments: Anansi has had a taste of wisdom and desires more. His father gives him three tasks to do so he may control the doling out of wisdom through stories. His first two tasks are easily accomplished. Anansi finds having gained his goal he has become to prideful. It takes a series of events and his own son to make him realize how he has acted. Anansi learns that with all the wisdom in the world it does not make him wise so he decides to act wisely. This does make him wise.
More emotion in the storytelling is needed here. Yes the man cares just he does come across as a bit bored with what he is saying and the art shows this from his expressions to.
The art does showcase the characters beautifully. The mythical being as drawn with a touch of imagination as if they are not real yet here act real. a little more focal to the art would have been nice to see.
The man the Storyteller and his dog are the best part of this series the man presents the story to his dog and both enjoy in its telling.

Comments: This issue does present us with something different the storyteller gets a guest. The guest becomes the storyteller and the storyteller the listener. Yet the story here is told slightly differently.
Eshu is the God of Chaos and he is feared. Now Oyinlolla calls the God to her. They used to be friends in a previous life of his. Eshu cared about Oyinlolla and protected her. He made her childhood bearable.
Oyinlolla makes a plea to Eshu for help. She asks the God of Chaos for help with her love life.
There is something going on here that is not clear. Is the God using the moral or the mortal using the God.
The art style delivers the characters in a soft relaxed atmosphere. The colors are subdued. The characters are enticing.
The story has its ups and downs and it has away of luring you in then letting you go. At the heart of it all though is a heart in love. There is so much that is predictable in this story and so much that is not it goes back and forth in perfect harmony.
The Storyteller is one upped here and it does work out so well and he is pleased as you will be reading this comic.

Comments: The Storyteller and his dog have actual left their house. So this tale told by the Storyteller comes from the market and its about another Storyteller in another market.
The art is light and airy. The colors are softly done. The two main characters are fun and entertaining to follow along with. With are better than the tale that the Storyteller is telling. A man and his faithful dog.
Reynard as he tells his story a lovely colorful market place is shown. He keeps adding to his story to increase his worldly wealth. He is concerned only with what he can get while giving nothing in return. His tall tales though have a way of catching up with him. The way he plays on people's hopes and dreams is not nice. Reynard though does come across as a likable character even though he really is not.
The art is gorgeous as we follow this tale and the narrator is being more involved in the story. The Storyteller does tell the best tales and his companion a talking dog is the perfect choice to have in this book.

Comments: This tale is about the Gods of Asgard. Thor after a hardy night of partying needs Loki's aid. Loki does come up with a scheme. The Scheme does make Thor look like a fool. Well actually this version of Thor does that well enough himself. This story has to moral to it and no meaning. Loki is mentioned to be a trickster yet here he does very little tricking. Thor puts on a dress but that's about it.
This tale has no meaning to it.
The art is just there it has nothing outstanding about it. None of the grandeur of Asgard or of the Gods comes across here. Thor with makeup and in a dress is a little cute.
Loki is not all that much of a matchmaker. You can see a little of the fun mischievous god he is.
Some facts are different in this story Thor and Loki are just friends and Odin and Loki are brothers.
The giants are just big people. The mythology of the Gods is missing.
