Millennial Pop Magic
I was born in 86. The first CDs & cassette tapes that I had were Garth Brooks (the one with friends in low places), Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Hanson, Meatloaf, Cranberries & Enya. I never bought those- they were popular when I was young and given to me because I loved music and would dance and run around all day.
When I was a pre teen and teenager and was able to purchase, I became fascinated with pop, bubble gum, flowery, punk and dance beats. So, my favs were Mandy Moore, Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears, & Blink 182- I liked alot but, they never seemed to reply to letters or messages, even to this day i swear it's strange af lol, so I guess it just faded off.
Millennial Pop Magic
Now I have a wide variety of favs of courzse, I don't want to forget anyone but, they include the artists in former articles, like Billie Eilish, Demi Lovato, Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez, Avril Lavigne, Charli XCX, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift & so many more (forgive if i forget rn) . It's just the type of beats and lyrics which i can relate to- which also alot of others can as well, and it brings healing.
When I was growing up, pop music was so wildly important to me because I have been through horrible sexual and abusive situations as a child and the media would bring up conversations with the pop girls, which no one around me was having- abt body issues, virginity, sex etc and i found spiritual strength through their words and actions.
One of the most important themes in the world- is kindness, because it's light and it multiplies like numbers, infinitely. Just because someone looks fine, does not mean that inside they are. I love these women so much because even in their darkness, they taught me expression, love, friendship & strength.

I did write letters to Anne Rice, a fantasy paranormal author when I was young and she answered me with e-mails and even one time, I told her that I had a book report on one of her books and she asked what the questions were and I replied my homework assignment. She answered all the qs in legnth, I got an A of course and my teacher was also fascinated to read the reports.

And to me- beauty is about being open and honest, kind and loving-of course not everyone can reach that idea of perfection, but we can learn how to express, forgive & heal from each other and move forward in harmony.
