Comments: The Tardis landing on the water looks great the animation is so good on it.
The Doctor, Jamie and Victoria find themselves in England and going ashore. They find something strange right away. They also find themselves under attack.
On a pipeline compound the Doctor is under suspicion. Something is going on here. The pipeline is blocked but by what? We see a planet of some kind and it moves. It looks strange and behaves even stranger.
The Doctor and Jamie are off investigating on their own while Victoria is as well as her own. Victoria finds herself in deadly danger as something comes after her. The Doctor and Jamie race to her rescue but will they arrive in time? It is a cliffhanger ending that will leave you waiting for the next episode.
The Doctor is portrayed as a older man who is a bit sexiest. He is shown though as wanting to get to the truth about whatever is going on here.

Comments: Victoria is being attacked by stuff. Meanwhile another woman is not feeling well she was bitten by a strange weed. The weed is interfering with the rig drilling for gas.
The animation looks good enough and does fit the style of the show.
The Sonic Screwdriver makes its debut here. It is small yet an amazing piece of technology.
On the Rig they are having problems and yes there is something in the pipeline that should not be there. The Doctor and his two friends do just keep investigating trying to help and figure out exactly what is going on.
The story does move along a little slow. The characters are shown doing nothing to much. The one Chief does push to get something done he knows something is wrong.
Victoria can be strong but also weak. She wants to be there in the thick of it but when she is and she gets in danger she than acts weak and defenseless.
The Doctor is always level headed and he just keeps going and going.

Comments: Seaweed may be causing all the problems on this drilling rig. The crew is trying to find out the problem.
The Doctor's companion Victoria has seaweed fleeing from her yet no one has noticed. Jamie the other companion of the Doctor does not do much to add to the story, he is basically just there.
The Doctor and his companions do just keep going around the rig looking into everything. He is accessing everything and formulating a plan. Meanwhile the seaweed is getting around.
The animation on the seaweed tentacles is well done bring it to life and the colors are outstanding.
This episode needed more action. Yes a few times the tentacles attacked one person but it was brief. The Doctor does come across as boring at times. He is the smartest person there it would be nice to see that come through in the story once in a while.
Victoria is portrayed as the helpless female yet she is always pushing to be a part of the danger. If she is a companion of the Doctor having her show more toughness seems right and not being she feminine. She is scared a lot yet she is still there so she does have a curiosity about things. So she is a good character overall.

Comments: On the Rig a noise is heard from the seaweed creature it sounds a lot like a heart beat.
The Doctor has no idea what is going on.
Van Lutyens is shown investigating the drilling shaft. The shaft is given a creepy look and feel to it. The Doctor and Jamie join Van Lutyens down below. Van Lutyens has disappeared.
The arms look as if they are to stiff when the characters move them up and down. The seaweed creature is made to look like a blob/cloud type of creature with seaweed tentacles.
The seaweed creature is making its move making its presence known. It is taking over humans. For what purpose though? As we find out more about what is going on a mystery the mystery of what it wants still remains. Or does it.
The creature has made its move and its plans become clear. The whole world may be in deadly peril and only the Doctor can stop it. Will he figure out what to do in time or succumb to the creature to.
In this episode things do start to pick up.

Comments: The breathtaking view of the refinery with a creepy touch added in is beautifully done. The weed creature is taking over the drilling rigs. The refinery is where the Doctor is trying to figure out what to do.
Chief Robson the man in charge of the refinery is under the control of the weed creature and he is on the attack. As the creature is growing and after more people.
The Doctor does show a little emotion with his not knowing how to stop this creature yet you do hear him get a glimmer of an idea. That is all the Doctor needs so next he will react.
The outdoor scenery looks so much better than the characters. It is like it is two different styles of animation.
The seaweed creature is revving up and ready to attack with its new slaves. It is a creepy scene as they advance. The threat has grown and it is easy to see why this creature should be feared. The more it grows the more of a threat it becomes. All of Britain and than the world stands to be conquered by this invading creature.

Comments: As the seaweed creature attacks the Doctor and his companions Victoria is the one who drives it off.
The seaweed creature has grown to gigantic proportions. The Doctor we see performing some amazing acrobatics with a helicopter.
The Doctor has a plan. He is using Victoria's scream. He amplifies it and sends the creature running. The Doctor and everyone are thrilled at defeating this creature. The final battle there is not a whole lot to it. Some more hands on with the creature would have been nice to see. It is nice to watch the creature retreating as they attack.
Something is wrong with Victoria. She has been down in the dumps for a while. She wants a change in her life. She is tired of all the adventures and all the danger. It is a sad situation yet one that is for the best.
The Doctor does come to life here and we see why he is considered to be so intelligent.
