Comments: "Kayla and the Castle Keep" Here we are introduced to Kayla, Raven and Fangs and the atmosphere is a dark one full of death. The story as it flows along sets things up wonderfully and gives you a sense of the dread a flash of light created.
The art on the monsters is stunning as it will fill you with horror. The way Kayla's eyes are drawn as she looks out on the city as the monsters approach shows artistic talent.
The 4080 is mentioned and they are some kind of group but it is not explained exactly who they are. There are some things that are not fully explained.
The fighting is gory and savage.
The story is told like a horror movie as it unfolds.
To be continued next issue.
"Witness at Wet Rock Dig Up" This story is about some killing that happened and revenge for it. Some unexpected things pop up and a nice twist happens. The balck and white art helps to excentuate the evil that is present.
"Complacent Victims" Your host for this story is terrifying. This story lets you know that if you see it coming your going to die.
"The Powered Damnation Waltz" This story starts out violently. Then we switch to a group watching a meteor shower. As a meteor lands things get very violent very fast for Charlie and Dylan.
To be continued next issue.
This book does get under your skin and make it crawl. Horror has been set free.

Comments: "Kayla And The Castle Keep" Part two here has a lot of nasty rats. People are in a battle with one man leading the way. The rats are far from ordinary these creatures can talk and are focused on one thing and one thing only. The black and white art works so well for this story filled with horror. The next menace to appear is a lava creature and this thing seems unstopable. The action is intense here. The characters themselves need to be focused on.
"Know Your Killer" Is a one page pin-up of a rough man who is armed.
"The Powered" A meteor Crash has caused a lot of problems. The story itself never really gets going. This part is over to quickly so you learn next to nothing about the characters or what is happening.
The stories are intertwined somehow yet it is not overly apparent.
This issue needed to draw the reader more into the story.

Comments: "Kayla and the Castle Keep" Part Three. The monsters are attacking in force. And the rats seem forgotten about. The artwork on the monsters does create some terrifying creatures. These things look like they just came from Hell or out of a nightmare.
The lettering is so blurry it makes it almost impossible to read.
Kayla for the most part just stands around doing nothing. Her and others finally get in a tank. Will this protect them?
"The 4080 Must Die" What is the 4080? Is it zombies, monstrous fangs or a warrior woman? The zombies are illustrated looking undead and adding a touch of horror to this story. What exactly the story is about is hard to tell. A young woman is in a battle. The action needs to be drawn better to show the action which would help to present the story better. Who is the woman? Why is she fighting? What is the purpose of this story?
"Dollhouse" At the Dollhouse in the Wastelands there are some characters, two cyborgs maybe and a beautiful woman, plus other creatures. What exactly is going down there is hard to follow the story is very unclear. There is a whole lot of fighting going on and at the last the surprise guest is a nice vicious one. The art in this balck and white story is well done and does bring out the montrous side of some of these creatures.
