Comments: Buffy meets Xandar and Willow for the first time here. Yes it is while slaying a vampire. The action as Buffy does so is done in a calm way that still keeps it looking deadly which it is for the vamp.
Buffy makes two new friends in Xander and Willow you can just see the bonding starting. Giles is still learning how to deal with a teenage girl. Not to mention the fact she is a Slayer.
Buffy may be the Slayer but she is also a teenage girl. She wants a life that is hers and not just doing what everyone tells her to or expects her to.
In the graveyard at night we see Buffy shine until something unusual happens.
Mysterious things are happening in this town.
The vampires are scary things and some more than others. The art lets you know these creatures are evil and dangerous. Buffy is illustrated as a beautiful teen and one with an edge to her.
This is a good starting issue that introduces the characters and sets up for future issues.
Vampires beware the Slayer is in town.

Comments: The write up at the start before the actual comic starts is amazing. It fills you in on what has happened quickly and very entertainingly. It is fun to read.
The comic opens with a nice creepy butt shot of Buffy.
As Buffy and Giles hang out in the school library Cordelia Chase introduces herself. She is a beautifully drawn girl just brimming over with enthusiasm. She is so nice here.
A certain vampire is introduced here as well. He does have a certain charm to his character. Than we see another vampire this one is not so charming. This vampire has an evil presence.
The huge vampire bat creature is so cool and the way it is let out works great.
Here we get a closer look at Xander and what he wants.
We get to have a brief look at all the main characters here.
You can feel the toned down presence of evil lurking in these pages.

Comments: One huge beastie is loose and it has a hunger for vampires. Spike and Dru are the ones present so its their problem. This creature is a terrifying sight. It is well drawn and colored in red.
Cordelia in action is just wow. She is not a Slayer and has no special abilities yet she steps up and shows that she is more than capable of taking on any threat. The art shows her off as one beautiful girl. The same can be said for Buffy and she has an amazingly physically fit body.
Spike meet Buffy a Slayer. Its Spike and Dru vs Buffy and bat creature. Well add in Willow and Xander to. They both are drawn so great.
This comic book is a lot like the original TV series yet there are differences that rather than hurt the story actually help it.
Giles's character is done just right. He pushes Buffy to be better and he will give her praise.
Dru is shown as a hothead and a little insane to. She is a maniac waiting to drink your blood.

Comments: Buffy, Willow and Xander get the night off. A movie and friends sounds good. What could go wrong?
Buffy and her mother and her mom's boyfriend all get along. It is surprising to see. These three are like a family.
Spike and Dru give off a feeling of evil. Dru definitely is the one who manipulates and controls others. She will lure you in and than destroy you. Dru is illustrated as a beautiful woman and than you morphs or changes into her vampire form and you know evil has arrived. She plays on Xander's feelings.
This comic does come across as the original TV series first season. It does introduce the characters and gets you involved in their lives.
This issue there was not one vampire slayed. So no action. There is some drama and especially with Xander. He may be a clumsy guy and not the best fighter around yet the one thing he is is a friend who will stand by his friends.
A little fun infused into the story would work good in this comic. The comic does focus on all the characters and if it did focus on one or two it would let you into who they are better.
Buffy needs to slay more.

Comments: Why does Buffy want to go shopping with a vampire? It does seem strange.
Than we skip to Buffy and Willow chatting about boys. Buffy is a vampire slayer but she is still a teenage girl and interested in teenage girl things.
We find out soon enough why Buffy needs a vampire to go shopping with her. Unless you read this comic you will never guess why. Buffy is hard yet still maintains her cuteness.
Xander met Dru and Spike now he is a bit different. Willow is shown showing her concern for Xander. Her emotions are made clear in both art and the writing. Willow here has no magic powers and is only human yet she does make one of the best best friends ever for Xander.
Buffy is looking good when she attacks the vampires. The vampires are illustrated to scary you slightly. Dru now is a beautifully drawn vampire and she brings out your fear. Her you will be afraid of. You can just feel the old evil rising in her.

Comments: Buffy and Willow get to battle roaches or beetles. They are kind of gross and Willow getting the bugs blood all over her face is yucky. In the caves Buffy and Willow are at odds with each other which seems out of place. They do encounter a creature that does look evil.
The art in general fits the story nicely. Buffy is drawn just as you might expect a teenage girl to be. She is just a girl with extraordinary abilities. She slays vampires.
Willow shows her love for her friend Xander here. No sacrifice is to much to save him.
Things are happening around Buffy that she has no control over. How will she deal with it all?
Monsters, mysteries and a Slayer everything you need is right here. Also some teen drama.

Comments: Willow s suffering she made a sacrifice to save Xander and now pays the price. Wow do not underestimate Willow, you do so at your peril. She is a fighter. When push comes to shove she will do both and then some.
Xander is now half vampire/half human. This is different. This new aspect of Xander is not gotten into other than mentioning he now drinks blood.
The art shows the character of Willow as a normal girl in an abnormal situation. The look at another place maybe inside Willow's mind is done in a creepy way.
This issue has Willow as the main character and a little of Xander. Buffy is nowhere to be found.
This issue does show that Willow has potential to become a major player in the war against vampires. It also shows the bond between two best friends. This bond is stronger than anything.
So we get creepy and drama.

Comments: Buffy gets to play bodyguard at the school's Halloween party. Giles is at a ancient relic show. Giles is actually with a date. A date who cares more about the here and now than the future.
When Drusilla makes her entrance to the show and the evil is just dripping from her. She has a few friends with her including Spike. These two are killers and they enjoy it. Drusilla wants something and what she wants she gets or people die. Drusilla's head is drawn to big for her body.
More was needed in this issue. The door to the Hellmouth is illustrated giving it a look of evil. The set up for what is to come is delivered nicely. There is also a action from Drusilla that will take you completely by surprise. It shows just how evil she truly is. Drusilla is the star of this issue. Evil has a name and its on Drusilla's lips.

Comments: The art has a pasty look to it and it lacks details. The vampires are illustrated to give them a touch of evil. Even Xander has the look when he changes.
This issue focuses on Willow. She is having a tough time. It is not said from what but she has recently been thrust into a world of vampires and magic.
Something is really up with Giles. He is acting so uncharacteristically. Is Giles the only one who can not see he is acting crazy.
The issue does suffer without Buffy in it. Xander does get some focus time. With him being half vampire now it does add a different take on his character.
There are mysteries in Sunnydale. One just showed up and it looks like she is going to make things interesting.

Comments: We see a new Watcher and Slayer in town. Robin Wood is a young Watcher. Now Robin and Giles for some reason are not getting along. Giles seems very agitated.
Willow broke up with her girlfriend and is suffering because of it, she is depressed. Xander is still having to adjust to being a teen vampire. Buffy is still missing. So there is lots of drama going on.
Some how Rose finds Cordelia with Luke. Things certain go into overdrive as these three mix it up. Rose really steps up here.
The new Slayer in town Kendra gets to see some action finally We see evil does not always come from vampires. It is always nice for a change to see a Slayer fighting something different.
Without Buffy in this issue it is suffering. Willow it looked like they were going to have her more involved in the story but they never did. No vampires were shown in this issue at all other than Xander.
Focusing on a few bit players was good for an issue but still Buffy is needed.

Comments: Buffy is still missing and the comic suffers for it. Willow and Xander seem all out of sorts. These two best friends are certainly not acting like they are. Both have changed a lot since Buffy came to town.
Willow and Xander meet the new Slayer, Kendra in town and her Watcher, Robin.
The art style is way to vague and the coloring to pasty. Only the close ups are drawn well.
The issue itself is slow with very little happening. No vampire attacks. There is a scuffle with Kendra and Xander but it is slow and boring.
The people in Sunnydale do seem to be over reacting and getting angry for no reason. Well they all do miss a certain blonde haired vampire killing beauty.
Kendra the new Slayer in town is not shown as much of one. Her Watcher does have some balls standing up to her. He might actually be a good Watcher. Kendra though she needs discipline.
This issue needed a focus and direction not just people standing around whining.

Comments: Anya shows up out of the blue with no explanation. Anya takes Willow, Xander and Kendra to Rose and Cordelia. Here is where the action and excitement are. The males of Sunnydale are on the attack. To get to here the story does move along slowly. The characters are not used very well. The art does portray the characters as pale and lifeless and not just the vampires.
Willow does come into her own and shows she is powerful. Willow plus one giant bat creature will they be enough? Enough for what? And what of Xander?
Buffy is still not around. She is mentioned but she does need to be in her own comic book.
The giant bat creature now this thing is amazing. Well illustrated giving it a feel of strength yet not one of evil . It seems to be on the side of the angels. So never judge a book by its cover.
Anya is a mystery and she really needs to be explained more. It will be nice to explore her part in the comic.

Comments: Kendra we see with her Aunt Vea and Zabuto her Watcher all at home in Jamaica. Kendra does not like being constantly berated by Zabuto. He is her trainer and it is his duty to get her fit and ready to keep herself alive.
Kendra loves Jamaica and she does fight to keep it a safe place. The action does show Kendra battling vampires just it is done at a slow pace so not overly exciting to see. The vampires here do not seem all that evil or threatening. Even the head one is not very impressive so does not offer much of a threat to Kendra.
Kendra is a wonderful person and she is caring. But this comic book is called Buffy the Vampire Slayer yet she is not in it and she is nowhere to be found not even a hint that she exists. Kendra and her Mr. Pointy do work as a Slayer just not as the Slayer.
It is great to get all this background information on Kendra. If Buffy was not the Slayer Kendra is who you would want to be the Slayer.

Comments: Buffy and Kendra are studying slaying stuff together with Giles. The setting does show us the main characters and they all seem laid back. Giles and the Slayers sitting around talking about the Hellmouth and how to handle more of them. These people seem normal. Than we start to see the things that make them special the things only they see. Society seems to turn a blind eye to things it does not want to acknowledge.
Buffy is losing it and one of her friends Robin is there for her. They both agreed they are just friends. Well that friendship seems to have changed to a bit more. The illustration of the two of them kissing is full of emotion and love.
Meanwhile Willow is off traveling, does she even know where? The scenery of the plants in the field is gorgeously drawn and colored.
So where is this comic going next? What is in store for Buffy and Kendra? That is the question we are left with.
This issue lacked action and vampires. What is a comic about a vampire slayer and one with not just one but two Slayers without some vampires to slay. Buffy the Vampire Slayer needs to slay some vampires.

Comments: Buffy and Robin are on a date. They see Rose and Kendra on a date as well. Now of course they do get attacked. This time by murderous plants. The two Slayers find themselves at odds as they battle this plant demon. The art shows this monster as a Hell Spawned creature of evil.
Poor Buffy she blames herself for all the wrongs in her world. Her shoulders are strong but not even she can hold all that weight. It is so sad seeing her like this. Buffy needs to respect herself.
This issue focuses on all the characters so each one has little time spent on them. Buffy does get a little more time then the others but not much.
Kendra is sure of herself and her action something Buffy needs to learn to respect. They may never be friends yet both are vampire slayers. They should be able to work together to fight their common enemies.
A mystery is present and it is what is Xander up to now?
The two female vampires shown are suppose to be illustrated sexy but they do not come across as that. Better poses and more suggestive body language was needed.
The fight scenes are well illustrated and give you some excitement in this heavily laden drama comic.

Comments: We do get to see all the characters hanging out. Than the danger starts as Xander strikes. Can two vampire slayers handle him?
Drama and more drama. This comic needs more action the fighting is way to brief and not overly intense.
The art does show the characters off nicely standing around. One double kick from Buffy is illustrated just it is not done is an exciting manner.
The name of this comic is Buffy the Vampire Slayer does she ever slay a vampire in it? It would be nice to see that. The fun and excitement of the character and her calling are missing. It is all doom and gloom.
All the supporting characters as well are just so sad and morose.
Xander as a vampire a full one is just not right. He does not fit the idea for one.
Buffy bonds a little with Kendra but it would be better to see them bond over killing a vampire.

Comments: Here we get to see the Council of Watchers. They do seem stuck up and not caring enough about the Slayers.
Wesley acts and looks a lot like Rupert. If your not paying attention you may not know which one he is. Wesley is looking into Watcher's deaths.
Wesley's name is used often later on so you know he is a Watch in his own right. He seems good at investigating and having a ghost to help him is different. Wesley is given his first field assignment.
This issue is all about Wesley and his field assignment. The Counsel does not want him with them so they send him away. Wesley is on his way to meet the newest Slayer. Yes there is another one. Will she be like the other two or totally different? Buffy and the Scooby Gang are not a part of this story.
The vampire we get to see is very well illustrated. It is drawn looking like a vile creature from the pits of Hell.

Comments: Giles, Buffy, Kandra and Willow share a bonding moment while training. It is wonderful to see them having fun.
Willow though is having some trouble fitting back in. The fact that Buffy is not as there for her as she should be is a factor. Willow and Kandra we see start to bond. Willow is expanding her knowledge of magic. She is shown as a fast learner and very capable.
Xander being the main villain here is not working all that great as he is rarely seen. He is the big bad vampire yet he does not show off his evil side.
There is way to much drama here. Buffy and her boyfriend, Willow and Rose, Willow and Buffy, and Xander what is up wit him? Is he attacking to get at Willow or Buffy?
Willow now she is being slighted yet she is still the best part of this issue. She is growing in power. Yet she is denying her self her true feelings. She is bottling them up and for a witch growing in power this can not bode well.

Comments: Xander and Willow are having a strange conversation. What are they now to each other? Is Xander still partly human, does he still really care about Willow? These two have shared a lot and were the best of friends but now? You can still feel the love and caring just with Xander being a vampire how warped is he now.
Willow and Buffy have become best friends as well. How will Xander take this? It is nice seeing them sharing a moment.
Buffy and Robin are having lots and lots of teen drama. Not only drama with them but with everyone.
For a comic called The Vampire Slayer there is not much vampire slaying going on. Well there is none at all.
Kendra and Rose take the next step in their relationship.
The art is a bit flat looking. It could use more expression in it.
Now the ending we finally get to see a few vampires trying to do what vampires do. Than she shows up and things just might heat up in Sunnydale.

Comments: Willow is trying to help Xander, Faith shows up to help Robin. So now we have three Slayers in town.
Faith has a strange outlook on vampires. Does she really think they could be aliens?
Willow is getting attitude and not in a good way. She goes off by herself completely on her own. She acted on her own to help yet by telling no one she has risked the trust of those who care about her. She did it though because she has faith in her friend.
Who is Morgan and what is she up to? Plus who is the demon she is working with?
The art is done to dark. It makes the characters harder to make out.
There is so much drama going on. Even if you wanted to follow it it would be so hard to. This comic is called Buffy the Vampire Slayer so where are the vampires and where is the slaying not in these pages that is for sure. Also with three Slayers and three Watchers plus all the supporting characters there is no chance to focus on any one person.
A vampire slayer comics needs to have vampires being slayed. Not just having teen drama. Who loves who or is dating who, who leaves who, who loves who or cares about who.
The characters including Buffy all seem like background ones to all the teen drama.

Comments: We see one woman being offered a job by a demon to slay lots of men. Than we see a female Watcher being fired.
A Slayer Morgan is twenty-five which is old for a Slayer which is to be expected in the kind of work they do. Now Morgan gets set up yet she is a resourceful young woman. She is a Slayer after all yet that is not saying a lot with how many of them have died. Well pretty much all have been killed in the line of duty.
Anya a wish demon helps Morgan get her wish. Morgan was abused and used by her Watcher and the Counsel. This issue does portray the Counsel in a bad light. It shows them as uncaring and male chauvinist's.
Morgan we see as a young woman just wanting to have a life. She does not want to die in the line of duty.
The story is filled with things that need more explaining and the art is dark so it does not clearly show off the characters.
This issue is missing all the main characters from the series. Without them it lacks direction. Morgan the focus of this issue and the best part you will have some empathy for. She is just a woman wanting to live and she deserves that chance.

Comments: Willow is still having lots of drama with not knowing what to do. With her best friend now being a vampire.
Now we have three Slayers in this issue. They capture a little demon. The thing is not overly scary. There are also three Watchers present in town.
Buffy asks Giles for advice and he does give her some sage help. Chocolate Mint Ice Cream good yummy advice.
The issue does not deliver anything. There is no fighting vampires. The graveyard scenes do look great with the three Slayers hanging out just it is boring.
The three Watchers hanging out sitting around talking does get boring real fast.
The name of the comic is The Vampire Slayer it would be nice to see that happen.
The Watchers and Slayers as they question the demon it does look kind of cute. This scene though is glossed over so nothing really happens.
The comic does focus on all the characters and people and it would work better to focus on the title character which is Buffy.

Comments: Willow has an out of body experience that is not normal. The three Slayers want to find Willow.
The little demon is drawn so cute. You will pity him having to serve a vampire.
So all the Slayers and Watchers are on a rescue mission. They are working together. Things are rolling along yet not a lot is happening and it is not explained enough.
The slayers are illustrated to show off a little of their female charms.
As the team start out on their rescue mission there is fighting. As Buffy finds Xander and Willow we see Willow is not exactly Willow. Who or what is she?
The comic just is it needs to pull you into the story more to get you caring about the people. There are so many characters here now and the comic focuses on them all rather then on a few or one. Buffy is the star or she is suppose to be yet she really is not treated as such.
There is way to much drama here.
The comic needs to get back to basics. Vampire Slayer slaying vampires.

Comments: Willow is looking dark. Willow and Xander do share a bond of friendship that goes beyond him being a vampire and her being a sorceress. Willow is drawn looking good in all black. She looks powerful and with a touch of evil.
Faith, Kendra and Xander do get into a bloody fight. After the fight we see Willow is willing to do whatever she can to get Xander back. She is powerful and opens up a portal where does it go? To wherever Xander is? Willow does not go alone though.
This issue shows us just how strong Willow is and how strong her feelings of friendship towards Xander are. Willow is focused on one thing only saving Xander.
Buffy is shown caring for Willow. Caring about what happens to her.
It is nice to see three Slayers together in one book. It is nice to see Buffy.

Comments: Way to much just standing around and talking going on. This is a Slayer comic with three Slayers in it so where is the slaying?
Xander last issue was a vampire here he is not and he is Cordella's boyfriend. When did all this happen? A brief recap is needed if it happened in another series. Ok something about time travel is mentioned but not explained at all.
Who or what is the Judge?
Ok as the story goes along a little is explained. The Lurkers do look pretty cool. They are skeleton dogs on the hunt. We are only given one brief look at them.
Aw poor Willow she just wants to save Xander. It is nice to see Buffy comforting her. this is a well done emotional scene.
A comic book about a vampire slayer with no slaying and no vampires? Why? There are no action scenes and no fighting.
It is good having Buffy back she just needs to be used more.

Comments: Faith and Kendra are out patrolling. These two work well together as they slay a few vampires. The art though presents the scenes in a boring way.
Buffy and Willow are back together again. The close ups on Willow have her face drawn so plain. There is a Lurker following Willow.
Anya and Morgan are working together. Morgan is from another universe but what is her back story? Why is she here?
There is something wrong with Giles. Something is bothering him. There is so much drama in this comic. It would be so nice to see an issue about slaying vampires and not about relationships. It says in the name of the comic Vampire Slayer focusing on that once in a while would make this a much better comic.
Ethan Rayne is another person who is just thrown into the story with no explanation as to why or who he is.
It is great to have Buffy back in the stories but she needs to be used more. It would be great to see Buffy slay a vampire.

Comments: Giles is feeling anxiety over all the recent changes in his life and they have not been good. He is worried now about what he will do next. Where his life will go from here.
Buffy is unsure of the direction of her life.
This issue is all about the drama going on. Drama and more drama. In the title of this comic it says the vampire slayer and it would be great to see an issue that concentrated on that.
Well some magical being finds Willow and the rest of the gang. Who is he, what does he want?
The characters are great they just are not used properly.
It would be nice to have a story line and have some action. The art is boring. The girls are drawn non sexy, None of the characters come across as special.
This comic could be so much more.

Comments: Faith, Miss Giles, Morgan, are all mentioned yet what do they all have to do with the story? It seems as if the whole group of Slayers and support people have gone to hell not literally but figuratively.
Gile's mom is the head of the Watchers and she is presented as someone you should not trust. Silas does not come across as much of a villain.
The demon in the rocket pj's now he is a cute character. Growly is not a main character but he adds a sense of fun to the comic that is needed.
We finally learn who Morgan is it is surprising.
It is nice to see Buffy actually jump in and take control and have a plan. She is the Slayer after all. So using her makes sense and that has not happened enough in this issue.
Seeing more slaying would help make this a better comic. Standing around talking is nice but to much of it is boring.
There are way to many characters in this issue you need a score card to keep track of them all.

Comments: Silas is shown but who is he? He does appear to be a very interesting character. Is he a vampire? It would be nice to be given a clue.
Having four Slayers Buffy, Kendra, Faith and Morgan is a lot. There are lots of players here to many in fact it is hard to keep track of them all.
Where are the vampires in a comic titled Buffy: The Vampire Slayer it would be nice to see Buffy slay a vampire.
Now family drama is added in for a mother and a son.
The weapons in this issue are cool. A wicked axe and a bone sword. Both are drawn wonderfully.
This issue is missing excitement. Yes it has family drama and slayer drama. Drama between watchers and slayers and witches. It does not go anywhere with it all though. Having Giles mother in this comic does give it family drama yet really it adds nothing to the comic.
Buffy needs to be more the focus of this comic named after her. Buffy needs to step out more then the other characters and that just does not happen. It would be so nice to see her stake a vampire.

Comments: Buffy and friends find themselves in a battle against demonic forces. They retreat and form a plan. Will it work and be enough to defeat Silas, wait and see.
Faith now her origin is changed here. A lot of things have been changing here from what you thought you knew.
There is a lot of set up for action scenes just there is no action. The comic is called Buffy The Vampire Slayer so maybe she should slay a vampire? There are some demonic type dogs that do get beaten but that is only very briefly shown.
There are a ton of great characters here yet none of them are used to their full or even half potential. There are really to many characters with all the different Slayers and Watchers and Witches.
More action and a more easy to follow storyline would make this a much better comic.

Comments: So Buffy is going out collecting other Buffy's from other Universes. Buffy and her friends are going to try to save everything. Silas is the main villain here and how is he going to end it all? That is a question that needs answering. Why is Silas carrying around a big axe that Buffy has held in the future?
The art is boring as is the main villain his demonic dogs are more frightening then he is. And why is Silas even here? Some explanation is needed.
The Buffy Slayers from other universes is a great idea yet their distinctiveness is not shown much. The side lines to the story are basically a waste of time as they do not get into them enough to make you care.
With all the young females running around it would be nice to see at least one being shown off as a female then just a person.

Comments: Well the battle is still going and Silas has drawn first blood. Buffy though has a plan but will it work. Things are dire as the gang gets ready.
Giant bats, small demons, magic users and cute teen girls with weapons and these are the good guys. They face skeletal dogs and one evil Silas.
You are treated to a bunch of Buffy's from alternate realities. Some are even a little impressive. The brief glance you get of them though is not enough time to fully enjoy them. The original Buffy is here as well and actually she is used this issue as the focal point much more then she has been in previous issues. She is still not used enough though. The comic book is called Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. It should focus on her once in a while and have her slay a vampire. That would so help this comic out.
The art is great showing these Slayers Buffy and Faith and also Willow look amazing as teen girls. It is nice to see that they are not overly sexualized.
I more focused story and more actual fighting scenes would be great to see here.

Comments: Buffy and her friends are in one battle to end all battles. Silas is out for blood as this evil being goes after Buffy. Buffy has other slayers fighting on her side and a huge bat creature to. Silas has his dead dogs. Than the fight takes a strange turn.
The art is boring. All these beautful high school girls yet the art in no way shows off that fact. The weapons out fighters use do look good and the dead dogs are illustrated ok. Silas if he was not fighting Buffy and friends you would be hard pressed to know he was evil. None of the villains or their creatures really come across as much of a threat.
Buffy is there and kinda acting like the leader. Yet she should be doing more. You will so want to see her slay a vampire but no that does not happen.
The last scenes in this issue leave you wondering what will Buffy do next? How will she defeat Silas?

Comments: The gang is attacking Silas and they do have a plan. There are many involved in this attack yet two stand out the most Willow and Buffy. The attack involves a multitude of people being used to launch separate attacks.
The art needs to show off what is happening a lot better. The characters are drawn with a neighbourly look. These are Slayers amd Witches and fighters. Even this evil Silas is drawn like just an ordinary guy.
Is this the end of this series it kind of seems so. But they do not really say so.
The demons in it are not scary at all. They are cute little things and one is a big bat creature who is aborable. You will want to hug them.
Buffy does look nice hugging Giles. In the fighting scenes though she is drawn to plain and not shown is poses that show off her fighting abilities or her femine wiles.
It is nice to see Buffy in action against a world and multi universal threat.
