Los Angeles, CA – Asylum Press announces Beyond Doomsday, an original content blog site specializing in all things post apocalyptic, announces plans to launch a Kickstarter for its 200 page anthology collection of doomsday comic stories.
Beyond Doomsday, an original content blog, will feature articles, reviews of post apoc books, films, comics, RPGs and video games, as well as original fiction.
"I’m really excited to launch a blog of all things post apoc. I grew up watching the Mad Max films and its many imitators and lived through the Cold War era of the 80s and 90s. I love the genre,” explains creator and editor Frank Forte. The cover artist for the Beyond Doomsday collection will be Ryan Brown (Mars Attacks, DCeased, Heavy Metal).
Artists include: Steve Mannion, J.C. Wong, Edu Menna, MoraMike, Fabio Nahon, Nenad Gucunja, Jethro Morales, JOK, Sylvester Song and more to be announced.
Beyond Doomsday Vol.1 is the new Illustrated collection of Science Fiction post-apoc doomsday stories. This collection features twisted tales of post Armageddon terror. “The Transaction” (by Frank Forte and Silvester Song) takes us on a dirty deal gone bad in the darkest regions of space. “Battlefield X” (by Frank Forte) brings us on the front lines of a bio-chemical war. “Mutation”(by Frank Forte and J.C. Wong) delivers a tale of post-nuke mutations which can only have disastrous results. Other tales include “Incident at Alpha Proxima” and “Short Circuit.” More creators to be announced.
Some of the contributors to the Beyond Doomsday blog will be Michael DuPlessis (Beyond Lovecraft), Mark McCann (2000 A.D., Heavy Metal Magazine). The Kickstarter for Beyond Doomsday Vol.1 will be launched late 2020. Please sign up for the beyond Doomsday newsletter and receive 6 free digital comics from Asylum Press including Beyond Doomsday #1.
