Comments: Aw poor Archie and poor Dilton. Both are in love and both are unsure about how the other in their relationship feels.
Toni really does care about Dilton. They are friends and she gives him the best romantic advice.
Wow Archie makes a decision, he chooses.
Archie and Dilton friends in sorrow. Both lose. At least they have each other as friends to stand by and support each other.
Having Archie talk directly to the reader is a cute touch.
Reggie makes an appearance and he is acting as cocky as ever. He has plans to.
You will be coming back for more to find out what happens next in this crazy town of Riverdale.

Comments: Archie is back in the dating game since both Veronica and Betty are not with him now. His luck gets has dates into unbelievable situations. His luck rubs off on those around him and new people getting close are not ready for him and what happens. It is funny to a point.
Betty and Veronica may compete and be at odds some times but they are friends first and foremost. Here we see these two friends are the best BFF.
Reggie is being Reggie and he has a plan that will benefit him and make others lives a living hell. Typical Reggie stuff. He thinks what he is doing is right whereas anyone else would not. He is drawn with some nice facial expressions.
Overall the art does try to have fun and it does achieve small amount of success.
The best part of this issue though is the relationship between Betty and Veronica. Their relationship with stands anything. BFF is what they are and will always be.

Comments: Archie is talking to you the reader. He has been having romantic troubles. Yet we see his optimism. You will kind of feel sorry for him. Than something happens and you feel his excitement and its not good excitement. Poor guy.
The Blossom twins think they can frighten Reggie. They better think again. It is a cute scene though we all know Reggie does not back down or scare easily.
What is up with Reggie you will be left wondering. Also the Blossom family how will they deal with their crisis?
This issue does present the gang in their every day lives. Just in this issue their lives are not all that interesting. This updated series does seem to lack some of the charm of the older ones. The characters are still here and they are the ones you know just a little different now. Plus their looks are updated. So they now look a little different to.
Archie and the gang are having all new adventures for a new generation.

Comments: Archie is getting ready to perform at the Sprig Dance. He is relaxed and even relaxed he is still Archie. It is fun to watch him and his unique way of handling things that will get you smiling.
Moose and Midge make a connection. Both have liked the other for a while. Moose may be big and strong but around girls he is shy. He is shown as a good guy and he deserves a good girl. Reggie and his dad have a relationship that this comic shows is dysfunctional at best.
It is so wonderful to see Veronica and Betty being best friends. Reggie is slinking around so you know he is up to something.
Jughead is helping to make things run smoothly for Archie as he usually does. Without Jughead Archie would be so lost.
There is teen drama yet is is great to see the teens just enjoying the dance and having a nice night out.

Comments: Archie is playing at the Spring Dance and all the gang are there. For the most part everyone is having a wonderful time.
This issue has a major announcement. It will affect all of Riverdale.
The Blossom twins get to meet someone very special. There is some build up as to what he might do. He turns out to be a bit crazy and dangerous.
Archie shows his true colors here when the time comes to act. Archie is the center when things happen even if he is not he becomes it. This boy is what you hope to be.
It takes a crisis situation to find out who your friends really are and who you and they stand with. Archie and his friends are a team that cannot be beat when they stand together. This issue has heroism and friendship shown.
The art is good and lets you know what is going on by the expressions on people's faces. The body language speaks as well. Plus Betty and Veronica do look cute even in a dangerous situation.

Comments: Cheryl and Jason are being held at gun point by their real dad. He wants money and a helicopter. Betty and Veronica come up with a plan and it is off the wall. It is also crazy and turns out completely different than you could ever imagine. Ronnie shows here under pressure that she can keep her cool and think clearly.
A hero steps forward and things will change not only for them but for Riverdale.
One thing leads to another and more changes happen. Change may be a good thing and also staying the same for some things to.
Archie is actually downplayed here. While others get their chance to shine. They do make this comic worth reading.
The characters are all illustrated in a contemporary style. Accept for Jughead's beanie they would fit in in today's high schools.
