Spider-Man was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. Peter Parker was bit by a radioactive spider and given extraordinary powers. He was teenager. Peter also was young scientist. He was able to make formula to make webs with some sort of device used in Spider-Man costume of his own making. The character first appeared in comic book before making way to cartoon screen on Saturday mornings. The cartoon series aired Saturdays from September 9th, 1967 to June 14th, 1970. Peter Soles did the voice in cartoon for Peter Parker and alter ego Spider-Man. 20 episodes were in season one.
The second episode showed Peter Parker as high school person or early college years. Peter was working for daily Bugle newspaper. His Publisher was J. Jonah Jameson. Peter is working for Daily Bugle as photographer. Peter convinces J. Jonah Jameson to let him go to Florida and get scoop to find out about Lizard human person reported through some news services but never had picture to reveal if real or fake.
Peter gets trip to Florida to hopefully get scoop for Daily Bugle about Lizard Man. Peter goes to Florida Everglades. Peter gets in contact with Doctor Curtis Conner. Peter discovers that Doctor Conners is really The Lizard Man. He finds secret formulas in Conners lab. Conners is also a scientist. Doctor wants to use formula that turned him into Lizard Man on others to make people savage Lizard Man army. Connors would be villain in story and Spider-Man would be hero. Peter attempts to make formula for turn Lizard Man back to Doctor Connors.
The episode was in color. I also liked opening theme song.
I also thought fun to watch old cartoon. It was enjoyable to see characters like Lizard Man and even Electro is second part.
The episodes can be found online for free. I suppose can even be bought. This was very enjoyable Marvel comic book-based cartoon!
