Comments: Well lots of killing and murdering going on here and tons of blood. Yet this Evil Ernie is definitely way different then any other versions. This is the new Evil Ernie.
Ernest Gleckman is the main character here. It is great to see Smiley on his coat. Smiley now he still seems his old self.
Now before all the killing started Ernest was a student and his life was fairly normal. A night performing singing for Ernest leads to us seeing a beautifully presented scene of frightening horror as he leaves the bar.
Things go from bad to worse as Ernest heads home. He meets a group of bikers along his way. Now what happens next we know just not how. This issue leaves a lot of unanswered questions.
This is a watered down version of Evil Ernie. Almost everything about him has been changed. This is a totally new character. Will Ernest become Evil Ernie probably just not the one from other comic book series of the same name.
The art is done very well. It delivers a story with hints at the evil yet to come. Smiley the button is here and he adds a nice mysteriously weird touch to the comic.

Comments: Errnest Gleckman is a young man whose life has just changed. He is now something else. With a smiley face button that is a bad influence on him he now has magical abilities. Why and how has this all happened to Ernest? He gets a new motorbike to.
Ernest has a girlfriend named Candy and she is drawn as one cute and beautiful girl.
Ernest when he is attacked chnages into a folk legend among the biker gangs. That folk legend is called Evil Ernie. He does go non the attack and people start dropping like flies.
Ronigue is a gorgeous woman who has a thing for Evil Ernie. She is somehow behind all this. What or how though is not explained. There are a lot of unanswred qustions here.
This is a totally new take on Evil Ernie so anything you know from past versions may have nothing at all to do with this one. Ernie does come across as a watered down version of the original. Smiley the pin is the best character in this comic.
Evil Ernie id illustrated as a pasty faced killer. He almost looks like a clown.
The entire book is being handled as if Ernie is just some killer. Here he may just be that with a touch of evil magic and a tie in to motorcycle gangs.

Comments: Here we see The Black Plague, Genocide, End O' Times, or as he now goes by Evil Ernie and his Mistress Mayham, Death now called Ronique. She is drawn as a smiling idiot and he like a demented warrior who is love sick. He comes across as a killer yet a pitiful weakling as he stands before his Lady.
For anyone who has read an Evil Ernie comic from Chaos! Comics this is nothing like that. The character of Evil Ernie is drawn similar but that is where it stops being similar. Ronique is a poor imitation for Lady Death. Yes this is a totally reimagined take on them both but it falls short. There is so much talent in the creative people making this so what went wrong?
We get to see a ton of dead bodies yet the scenes of carnage of how Ernie killed them are nowhere to be found.
The whole rewritten origin and back story of Evil Ernie is completely different from the original.
What is this Evil Ernie now part of Ernest Gleckman going to do? With Ernest now being a part of Ernie and vice versa how will this affect both? The story does not draw you into at all and you are glad when it is over.

Comments: Smiley the button is illustrated as one evil creature. He is a bad influence on Ernie. Smiley is one sick being. Ernest is fighting against his possesion by Evil Ernie. It is a fight of love vs evil.
Ernie ends up in a fight with some demon in human form. Milady Ronique makes her appearance. She looks lovely yet she is a user, she looks at Ernie as her slave. Plus there are now biker zombies. Ronique shows her colors here she only does things for herself and cares nothing about others.
This Evil Ernie is suppose to be evil yet the way he behaves and how he is treated leave that in question. Part of him is still human. This demon Evil Ernie is not very scary at all. Ronique is just some pitiful creature. The demons here are just involved in petty squabbles. Having Ernie/Ernest retaining his humanity does seem strange for this character and not in a good way.
What is the story line here? Why is Ernie here? What purpose does Ronique have in life? The one female cop shown actually seems tough yet to get in the situation she is now in would require her to be weak.
All the characters in this comic are weak they need to step up and stand out.
