Title: Buckhead # 1 Publisher: BOOM! Studios Written by: Shobo Art by: George Kambadais Lettered by: Jim Campbell Cover by: George Kambadais Variant Covers: Simangaliso Sibaya with Colors by Natalia Nesterenko, Khoi Pham Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 2 out of 5 stars Website: www.boom-studios.comComments: Exploring underground by three people starts this comic off with some mysteries. You are left with many questions. Than it jumps a year forward. We see the new kid just moved and first day at school. Toba has a weird start to his day. He does make a few new friends at school. Toba, Josue, Romy and Mel decide to go exploring in the school and what they find is stunning. There is something very strange going on here. Toba's new town is diffinitely ground zero for weirdo stuff. You are not given much in the way of clues as to what is going on. You are left mostly to just imagine on your own which can be a good thing. The art is nicely done having a slight cartoonish style to it. Toba not Towba or Torba but Toba is not a happy boy. He does not like the moving to this town. Why they moved who knows. The story needs to give us a little information about what is going on to hold our interest. Toba is your average boy just put into a situation he does not understand. Richard Vasseur
