Comments: In the Antartica an earthquake has revealed something. The art showing the penguins watching it are beautiful to behold. Something has been released.
Tina is visited by her Grandpa who may or may not be dead. He leaves her a gift. Her dad knows about her grandpa and that he is lost at sea. Through dreams though he appears to Tiny his young granddaughter.
How all the different scenes been shown tie in together is not clear.
A huge winged monster does come to the city of Montevideo in Uruguay. The artwork deliveres frightening scenes as it walks throug the city and finds a building to look out over the city. As it breathes fire it creates a destructive path around itself. This creature has a plan.
The creature from the South Pole has been named the Salamander.
Meanwhile the Grandpa reveals what his gift is for to Tina. This is a whole nother story within the monster one. Are they connected in any way? The ending to this issue does suggest it is. The underwater scenes are so beautifully illustrated and you know that they are the beginning of this huge battle that is to come.
The story telling does need to tie in better. The art though will blow you away.

Comments: Here a second creature rises a Guardian to take down the Prisoner who is free. The creature art will have you feeling like you are in a giant monster movie.
The Sentinel monster named Mega makes its way to the Salamander going through any obstacles in its way. The creature art is stunning. You will feel like you are watching a monster movie on TV or even seeing this for real.
The two creatures Meg and Salamander attack each other and it is one huge fight. These two monsters are going all out. Mega has a knife and Salamander has his fire like lava. The battle lasts a long time going back and forth. The art will keep you glued to the pages. This is a battle of gargantuans.
Someone is releasing the monsters a Felipe Sandoval. Tina has the only way to stop the monsters he releases. This little girl has the weight of the world thrust apon her. She is the only one who can call on Mega to save the planet when danger strikes.
There arre some similarities to Godzilla yet some much different that this comic does stand on its own.
The art alone makes this worth picking up. Giant monsters are scary within these pages.
