I read this series as child in actual comic book format. I lost comics though since many years between 1976 through 1978. I noticed The Eternals movie in theater. I thought would be fun to read old Jack Kirby series. I got through interlibrary loan. I really appreciated effort Jack Kirby put into The eternals. He conceived, wrote and drew The Eternals. The story is more teen to adult. I would suggest getting graphic novel for anyone that might have not known about series even though saw movie. It is also a great way to read collection of Jack Kirby stories in one volume.
Here is what the back cover says about The Eternals by Jack Kirby. The Complete Collection.
Jack Kirby, the King of Comics creates an all-new pantheon of Marvel Gods!
Imagine a race of mythical beings possessed of seemingly limitless superhero abilities. Once worshipped as gods, this fantastic group left Earth to explore the stars with the Greek, Roman and Norse pantheons for supremacy over humankind. They are the Eternals, and they are just one part of the cosmic mythology. Their opposites - the Deviants- also secretly populate the earth, while towering cosmic entities that created both- the Celestials- are fated to arrive and judge our planet. This is the beginning of an epic cosmology of gods and men that sprang from the limitless imagination of Jack "King " Kirby, the co-creator of Captain America, the X-Men, the Avengers and more. Now Kirby's Eternals epic is collected complete in this single volume.
