There is very well known rhyme in Spanish about the moon eating prickly pears...
There's the moon,
Eating your tuna,
Turaving the shells,
For the lagoon.
Yonder is the moon,
Eating her prickly pear
Throwing the peelings
What about the lake.

Switzerland's Version of
The Bear Prince
A father goes to a market to purchase pearls, jewels and similar items for his daughters.
Although, he especially seeks a grape, which he can't find due to it's peculiarity.
He settles on bringing nothing home to the youngest, but to the middle was given a dress and the oldest, gems.
Meeting a dwarf next who advised him to seek a gift from the bear in a nearby place.
Well, the bear agrees in return for the hand of marriage to the first daughter of his that comes out when he returns in a year's time.
The bear would not allow lights to be turned on at night in the home and was always cold to touch.
She misses her family so bad that after 1 year, again they return.
Anytime someone questions the bear, then he simply says: "I'll eat you."
Father tries to give her matches, but he will not allow her to accept it.
He tries again every time, until the 3rd year- where he finally gets them to her.
When they lay in bed together, she lights the match to see him.
A very handsome man wearing a gold crown appears next to her with a smile.
The enchantment is broken.
"And all the castle came to life, with servants appearing to wish the couple good luck."

The dove tells her that for every seven steps she takes, he will drop a feather and a drop of blood, and perhaps she can track him by that, and flies off.
