Comments: This story starts out sad as one little girl's dog Pirate has passed away. Danni at school gets a new teacher Miss Pallas teaching mythology. Danni is one observant girl.
Danni and her brother Sammy somehow fall down a hole and end up in Hades. Her adventure has begun. She came here for a reason even if it was by accident. Danni is on a Challenge and she may not know exactly how yet she accpts it with a child's innocence.
Danni's Quest seems to fall into place as she continues to Hades. She gets Odysseus to join her. There is not much of her trying as there is of her just being given what she wants. The story is an all ages one and the art is for a young audience. There are updates to how the ancient Greek characters and settings look. The battle with Medusa does not go as you might think.
The attacking skeletons add some needed violence in this book. Since they are only skeletons there is no blood or gore.
Hades seems like a very nice person. He is not though. He acts nice yet his actions say different.
The story moves along so smoothly one scene going to the next. Danni is such a delightful little girl with an attitude way bigger than most.
The art has a cute side and even the monsters do not seem all that scary. For this type of story they are done just right. The twists to their characters that update them are wonderful to see.
You will feel for Danni as she faces things that she should not have to. You will be routing for her and her new friends.
The adventure does not end here it continues next issue. Make sure your here for it.

Comments: Danni and her group are going to Hades Lair. A little girl, a hero, a cyclops, a minotaur and a ferryman make up this unlikely group. Meanwhile the Gods are watching on their big screen TV. Danni even gets a siren to join them. It is wonderful to see all these characters from Greek mythology and they are done with a twist.
The art looks gorgeous and fits the story beautifully. It is geared to a younger audience yet all ages can enjoy the adventure.
This is a grand adventure that anyone will enjoy yet it is geared toward a younger audience and children will be thrilled with this Quest. The excitement and monsters on every page will keep any reader glued to the page as the story unfolds.
Danni gets a good look at herself and the events aroud Pirate's death. She realises what happened and why it happened. The Gods manipulating the whole thing well they get a surprise.
Athena turns out to be the nice Godess. Odysseus fights for Danni against the monstrous Typhon.
The ending to this story will touch your heart and bring a tear to your eye. The emotions here are overwhelming. Just when you think it could not get any better it does. Then guess what it gets even more more. The emotions here are super charged. This might not be the ending you were expecting, it is though the one you want.
