Comments: Emmy a new friend of the Lumberjanes has the most interesting pets. You have never seen anything like these.
Jen has the Lumberjanes out looking for a Jackalope and Emmy is helping. She is shown as a good tracker.
The art is cute and even the monsters look cute. Well the monsters do have cute friendly attitudes. So since they were friendly not much action other than petting them. The girls certainly do know how to have fun.
This comic is an all ages one but any age can and should enjoy it.
The Lumberjanes and like girl scouts at camp. They do meet the most unique and amazing people and creatures and that leads to adventures. These girls have had more than their fair share of them.
This issue not only had them meeting strange and wonderful creatures but it also sets up for their next exciting adventure.

Comments: Emmy a friend of the Lumberjanes finds herself in trouble. She went out searching for a Jackalope. Now in this comic strange things are always happening. So Emmy being kidnapped by a living tornado is really nothing to out of the ordinary here.
Emmy is shown with the strangest herd of critters you will ever see. They are all friends though.
We almost get to see a Lackalope but only almost. We do get to see another strange creature. The Unicorn Rabbit bet you have never seen one of those.
The Lumberjanes always have a fun adventure. They always back each other up and their friends as well.
The art is done in a younger version style and the writing does match it. This is an all ages adventure for young girls but any and all can enjoy it.

Comments: The camp has a newsletter now. One cabin full of girls is going all out lead by Hes. The newsletter is a success but at this camp you are just waiting for something strange and mysterious to happen.
Cassie a camper at the camp is a sweet girl yet for some reason she is left out. You can just feel it in how she is treated its not meant to be hurtful yet it is.
Cassie turns out to be more than just your ordinary nerdy girl. She is much more. She is also out of control. The reactions of the other girls shows how they feel.
It is wonderful to see the girls working together and showing they care about each other and not just the inner circle of the Lumberjanes but other girls at this camp.
The Lumberjanes are fun to go along on adventures with.

Comments: The art is really rough looking and not in a good way. The drawings are so basic. The story and how it treats the counselors is so weird. The counselors are being handled completely different than they ever have been in previous issues.
The girls are bored and they get one idea in their minds. It is stuck there and will not leave. Somehow you just know this is going to cause trouble. It is hard being stuck inside when all you want to do is go outside to play.
The Lumberjanes as usual find something out of the ordinary to occupy their time.
As the story goes on the excitement of the girls builds. Yes there is something strange going on in the Mess Hall kitchen. It will take the Lumberjanes or at least some of them to find out what. That creature lurking in the shadows might know. This issue is continued next issue.

Comments: The Lumberjanes are playing a board game with friends. The game does start to get exciting. Meanwhile others are exploring a cave.
The three Lumberjanes are exploring the cave and of course a nice peaceful exploration does not stay so peaceful.
The art is simple basic and lovely to behold in this all ages comic geared towards females but which can and should be enjoyed by all.
Te cave exploring and the game playing just grow and become an adventure. These Lumberjanes are always getting into excitement. These girls know how to have fun and enjoy life. They are also the best of friends.
"A Memory" Abigail, Rosie and Nellie do share a short exciting adventure with thrills to chill. These three are tough girls and tough counselors.

Comments: The three Lumberjanes exploring the cave have one huge bug in it with them. Ripley, April and Mal are having an underground adventure. The bug is scary as it moves in the tunnels.
The art is fairly simple and delivers a fun setting with slight chills and thrills. The girls are cute young things and the monster bug somewhat frightening but not overly so.
The rest of the Lumberjanes are busy playing a board game that has expanded. The game is getting exciting. Each person plays it differently.
The adventures these Lumberjanes get into you will not believe.
This is an all ages comic book that young girls will just adore and it can be enjoyed by all ages and sexes. The is cute and the story fun and thrilling.

Comments: The Lumberjanes playing the game now have it augmented by Diane. The others are in a cave.
The art is done in a cartoon style that is simple.
The game being augmented with Diane's magic as she is Goddess of the Hunt does take on a new level of reality. It is still done in a fun and playful manner as the players continue. Who will win well it is just a game.
The girls in the cave get to go for a ride. or two. They are having one wild underground adventure.
All the Lumberjanes do have a fun and exciting time playing. Whether it is a board game gone wild or in a cave filled with creatures that might or might not scary you.
No matter the adventures the girls have one thing stays the same they always stick together and always have a fun time.

Comments: The Lumberjanes have a map. So a treasure hunt begins.
The art is cute in its cartoon style. The five girls do match up to form one super awesome team. Each girl is illustrated as a unique individual.
Ripley eats to much sugar. So of course we see her all excited. The treasure hunt as is the usual for these girls and their camp counselor Jen turns unusual. A statue they find turns out to be far more than just that. This statue promises to deliver a scary adventure that will make the girls push themselves for a fellow Lumberjane.
The Lumberjanes do lead a most uniquely exciting life. These girls are so full of life. Going along on an adventure with them will be the most thrilling thing you have done.
The cliff hanger ending will leave you wanting more and asking why?

Comments: Tromatikos is the villain here she does come across as a nasty piece of work. Tromatikos feeds off the energy of Gods. Ripley introduces her to the cats she created and they all leave.
The adults decide they are handling things and we all know that is going to last not at all before the Lumberjanes get involved to.
Rosie calls up the Greek Gods and Goddesses on the telephone. Yes she really does. Rosie it would be nice to see her more involved in the stories as she used to be when this series first started out. Rosie is such an interesting character.
Ripley is in trouble so Diane and the Lumberjanes band together. It is always great to see them working together. This adventure is just starting.

Comments: Mal may be afraid yet she will face those fears for her fellow Lumberjane. Here we see just how brave she is.
Ripley and the evil Goddess are certainly having a unique time together. Ripley seems unaware f the danger. She is just having fun on this adventure. Ripley handles the whole situation in her own unique style.
Mal and the girls are faced with Ripley's greatest fears. So what does Mal do? Well she is a Lumberjane and Ripley's friend.
The Lumberjanes do have the most amazing adventures. Facing a Goddess is one of them as this evil Goddess has plans to feed. Her appetite is huge.
The art is done in a cartoon style. It is almost like a Disney cartoon in its style.
Mal and Ripley are featured in this issue and both shine as people. These girls are special.

Comments: The Lumberjanes are facing old late night horror monsters from black and white movies. So how do you fight these horror's well Ripley uses a cute and cuddly cat.
The has a fun style to it. The Lumberjanes are illustrated as adventurous girls. Tromatikos or Trickles is one sinister looking magical creature.
Jen and the girls find Tromatikos and she is up to no good. Pre-teen girls and Kittens hyped up give even this bad woman stress and Jen knows just how to totally stress her out to the max.
A powerful magical being vs pre-teen girls and kittens well the Lumberjanes do get into some awesome adventures and they always have fun saving the day.
This series is perfect for young girls to inspire them to be better. Anyone though can and should enjoy reading this series.

Comments: The art style is simple, basic with no frills. It is art for a child and looks like a child drew it. Its Jo's birthday. The noses of some of the Lumberjanes are drawn with a sharp point. Jo does not seem excited at all for her birthday.
April now she is written and drawn bursting with excitement. All the Lumberjanes do get in on the action as they work together to achieve a goal.
Mal gets to face her fears and she is very brave about it. When it comes to helping out a fellow Lumberjane nothing is to much. These girls do stand tall for each other.
The art suffer in this issue but the story does not. We see love, caring, friendship all brought to the forefront. Being a Lumberjane is a beautiful thing.

Comments: April is putting on a play. It seems like a so so project as the movie night got cancelled. April was ready for it.
The art style is simple with a roughness to it that makes the girls look almost like males. The issue needs a more fun side to the art.
Meanwhile other Lumberjanes are out white water rafting.
Jo's surprise birthday party is coming along. April has her plans and Jo the birthday girl has hers. The two do not mesh. The girls working together for the party does show co-operation and friendship.
The whole issue is slow with nothing important happening. The birthday stuff is slow and boring.
The Selkies splash up. They need help and of course the Lumberjanes are ready. This is the most and only exciting part of this book.

Comments: The Lumberjanes are putting on a stage play. Well any and everything that can go wrong is.
Mean while the other Lumberjanes are having other adventures. Bugs and a seas serpent make appearances.
I like the mention of Katherine Johnson a famous woman who contributed a lot to NASA. She is a great role model.
Now where but in this series would you find a Pirate Werewolf Captain. It is definitely something you do not see every day. The art is tame illustrating the various monsters. It is easy to see this is an all ages book. The art on the girls is simple and basic there are no frills at all. It is perfect for a younger audience.
Having three different adventures going on at the same time does not leave enough time to focus enough on each one.
It is wonderful to see how much these friends care about each other. Through all their wild adventures that is the one thing that never changes.

Comments: The art is to pasty and it needs to be more focused. For a younger audience it is ok but for anyone in their teens or older they will find it to childish. The story starts already into it as some of the girls are trapped. But we never see how they got trapped.
The Lumberjanes do put on a stage play that is something else. It is boring. Yes it is suppose to have an emotional tie to one of the Lumberjanes but it is not really shown.
April worked so hard and Jo does show her appreciation. It puts April on cloud nine.
This issue is pretty tame in comparison to other issues. The characters are not used to their full potential.
The fun loving camaraderie does come through. Lumberjanes are always there for each other. So the book does teach some good lessons in friendship.

Comments: Mal and Jo are alone in the woods. Quickly the other Lumberjanes join them. They do have a lengthy discussion about being out in the woods. Mal seems overly affected by it. She actually goes to the fearless Ripley for advice. Poor Mal all the magical creatures frighten her. She wishes she had some of Ripley's fearlessness.
The art is nice and simple. The girls are drawn to bring out their individual personalities which with the writing it does. Each girl has her own strengths and weaknesses.
The land of the dinosaurs we just get a glimpse at but it does look prehistorically amazing.
Mal is getting the chance to conquer her fear of fear. Like all the Lumberjanes once her mind is set it is set. Of course things around her do not make this easy.
One thing that stands out this issue is that it only contains the Lumberjanes themselves no one else is in it.
It is also great to see how the Lumberjanes all stick together and are always willing to help each other out. It is a great lesson in being a friend.

Comments: The Lumberjanes go to see the Bear Woman Nellie. They need her help to rescue Mal in the land of dinosaurs. Nellie's room is filled with weird and strange stuff.
The Lumberjanes do not abandon their friend they just keep going and going and will not stop till they rescue her. The girls do find something very weird out in the woods.
The touch of humor is fun. When all the Lumberjanes reunite there is lots of emotions. These Lumberjanes really do love each other.
The colors are wonderfully done. The art is fitting to the story. It is a cute style and cartoonish in style. The threatening creature drawn would be terrifying to encounter in real life.
The best part of this comic is seeing how close the Lumberjanes are. Plus they do have such fun and strange adventures. These girls know what it means to be best friends forever and even more they are like sisters.

Comments: The Lumberjanes are in the Land of Lost Things. Here dinosaurs can and do have feathers.
Where else but in this comic would you see girls on a sled chasing a dinosaur named Jonesy through the snow? If you think this is the end of weird stuff and surprises guess again.
It is wonderful to see all these young girls working together, pulling together as friends in the most extraordinary of circumstances.
These girls by sticking together can handle anything. Any fears they have they face and overcome. They are full of confidence.
This comic does set a wonderful example for your girls. It delivers the message that you can do anything you set your mind to.

Comments: Jo knows about space stations which may help the dinosaurs. Now two of the Lumberjanes Jo and April decide to explore the ship. You might think this would provide an exciting side bar in the story but all they do is enter the ship and than leave.
Molly and Mal are fantastic friends and more. Mal now we see has her own way of dealing with things. Each of the Lumberjanes does. Ripley most of all.
The art is rough and cartoonish, it is made for a younger audience. The dinosaurs are illustrated to scare young readers. They do have a cute look to them as well.
The Lumberjanes are also called the Roanokes because of the cabin they live in at camp. They are all friends for life.
Well there is some bonding between Mal and Molly and dinosaurs wondering around but over all this issue was slow and not that much happens.
The hi-lite is a space spork.

Comments: The art is so much for a younger audience. The colors are all done softly.
In this issue other girl campers are included in the story such as Emily the alien hunting girl camper. She is illustrated in some dramatic poses.
The campers are going to watch meteors. Yet some are looking for aliens.
Molly and Mal are camp couple and here it is finally said outright. Everyone knows and has known for a while. Mal seems kind of embarrassed about it and surprised. The two do make for acute couple.
The story in this issue does more along slowly with not a lot happening. The girls go for a walk in the woods to a spot to watch meteors and that is about it.
As a meteor crash lands the Lumberjanes are greeted by a most unexpected sight. The Lumberjanes always manage to find something going on or it finds them. They are one exciting bunch of campers.

Comments: Freya has joined the girls at camp. Diane is being wary of her. One Goddess to another. Diane also seems a little jealous. Freya is illustrated as a fun loving Goddess. Her attitude is one of fun and enjoyment.
Love is in the air as one young boy does love one young girl/Goddess. He looks at her as a normal girl but yet still does know she is a Goddess.
Freya is a big hit at camp. Everyone but Diane loves her. Well her attitude is so uplifting. It seems so to all the Lumberjanes to until she uplifts something else. Freya the Goddess fools most of the campers yet her true nature is anything but kind she is cold inside.
The campers do have fun and they are full of youthful enthusiasm. They though notice right away when something starts going wrong. They react without hesitation. The girls do stick together as they are friends for life.

Comments: The Lumberjanes are after aliens. The hunt is on.
The art is over the top showing expressions. The art style overall is for a younger audience with it being cartoonish.
Emily a friend of the Jane's has had problems and still has them with bullies picking on her. She is teased because of her parents jobs.
Now Diane faces off against Freya over a kitten. These two Goddesses go head to head.
Meanwhile has Emily finally found proof aliens really do exist?
This issue is full of cliffhangers.
The Lumberjanes do have fun in the woods but the comic is done in an all ages style that has it being laid back so there are no real thrills. The finding an alien or a fight between two Goddesses is done without creating an atmosphere of suspense or excitement. The story needs to draw you in more.
The girls are there they just need to make you feel like you are there and move things along faster.
The Lumberjanes do rule.

Comments: Its the battle of the Goddesses Diane vs Freya and the winner gets a kitten. Or the kitten gets Freya. The fight is not overly intense as this is an all ages comic. The art is cartoonish as if you are seeing a actual cartoon.
Freya turns out not to be all that she seemed to be. It is a surprise that comes out of nowhere.
The Lumberjanes do have the most weird and strange adventures that you could never imagine.
More romance is in the air as Hes and Diane become an item. These two These two like Molly and Mal do make a great couple.
This comic has become more and more a comic geared towards a younger kids audience. The morals of good friendship are still present and helping each other but the comic book used to be geared towards a teen audience now it is more for an even younger audience.
The whole hunting aliens part of the story never went anywhere at all. It would have made a nice change of pace only it never happened. The alien hunter was enthusiastic.

Comments: Rosie is in this issue and she is teaching the girls how to use axes. Well the nature hike starts off very quietly as Rosie tells them all about different types of trees. The scouts are hoping to find flying zombie trees.
The is done in a simple very basic style. There are no frills to it. The art style is fit for a young audience.
The big adventure here is a learning experience for the girls. Of course in the background are three other mysterious girls from some other camp. What will happen with them. Something that should have been revealed way earlier about these girls makes for a disappointing part for this story.
A mystery is shown and a cliffhanger is given even though it is not overly thrilling.
A Lumberjane suffers a disappointment. So she is feeling sad.
This issue has very little happening in it. It does not even set up the next issue to get you interested in it. There is no action. No thrills. No supernatural threats. Just a nature walk in the woods. The only good part is Rosie is featured. She at least is done as a interesting character even if she is not fully utilized.

Comments: The art is simplistic and done for a very young audience so it lacks detail and focus. The art is childish and definitely made for a very young child. The expressions on the faces are way over exaggerated.
While out in the woods the girls and Roxy encounter an invasion species.
The story does go on a bit to long about the invasive plant as the girls and Roxie and Abigail stand around to much just talking. They do get to go on an adventure with each othe as usual but the adventures are most unusual.
We are shown that the Lumberjanes here care about each other. Their friendship is important to each other.
Here we get a look at the original Lumberjanes. The clothing from their time fits perfectly. It will be great to follow along on their adventure and see it mirroring the present Lumberjanes.
This is a fun adventure for young girls.
The information on invasive plant species is right spot on so you do learn while enjoying the adventure.

Comments: Here we see the original Lumberjane named Jane and we see some of the interesting creatures she meets. The current Lumberjanes are so interested in the old ones.
The art is done in a style geared towards a younger audience.
The current Lumberjanes are shown copping a tree root which is some sort of plant that can be deadly. It is not presented at all as deadly and there are no thrills or chills. Nothing exciting happens in this issue.
Jane is seems grew up to become a Lumberjack. She continues to have adventures and this issue does focus on her. Jane is a great character so full of vigor. She sets the standards for all the Lumberjanes to come.
The most interesting thing here is the back and forth conversation between Abigail and Rosie. These two have a love hate friendship going on.

Comments: We get to see how the first Lumberjanes were formed. Yes Jane formed them. Rosie and Abigail actually met Jane once. They all had so many adventures.
Now Rosie, Abigail and the current Lumberjanes are in a battle against some vines. These are no ordinary vines of course. The fighting is slow paced though as this story is more about looking into the past and mending past hates.
Seeing the original Lumberjane Jane does give you a look at how all this came to be and why the girls the Lumberjanes are so honorable. They also always manage to have some fun no matter how dangerous the adventure.
Rosie and Abigail were friends once and here we see they maybe once again. There is magic in the air some anything is possible.
The art is for any age and the story is all ages. This is a fun filled and exciting read. Everyone reading it will want to be a Lumberjane.

Comments: The Lumberjanes are getting ready to leave camp. Summer camp is almost over only a couple days left. They do miss their home lives and the people there. So they are doing one last thing that each wants to do before they leave.
April needs one last badge. The Life of the Party Badge is what she needs. April is drawn with some intense expressions. The art overall is for a younger audience. April after much trying does final understand having a party is not about her but about the person your having the party for. It is all about them. April does give one fantastic party and will give one more.
Jo and Ripley have their own adventure in another dimension along with their counselor Jen. Dinosaurs and more dinosaurs live there. They are not drawn very frightening at all. The three of them do face danger and excitement as their adventures continue.
A party and dinosaurs and lots of good natured fun where else but here with the Lumberjanes will find these together.

Comments: Ripley is enjoying being with dinosaurs. Jonesy is her favorite one.
The art is very geared towards a younger audience.
Mal is trying to impress Molly and she is going about it all wrong. All Molly wants is her she does not need to be impressed. Molly just wants to spend time with Mal. We get to see just how much in love with each other these two are.
Jo and Ripley had so much fun with the dinosaurs. Jo actually got to ride them.
One magical fox is up to something. It is a mystery what it has in mind.
Than a threat is threatening them all. A very grey looking threat and its the quiet one who is the Lumberjane Mal who has a plan of action. She knows what to do. The Lumberjanes spring into action but will it be enough to save the day?
It is always so wonderful to see the girls working together, their friendship and love can get them through anything and their adventures do get pretty wild.

Comments: The Roanokes Lumberjanes are doing what they can to protect the camp from the Grey. Seafarin' Karen the werewolf makes an appearance to help out. The Fox as well shows up. Others to from the long running series turn up. All are in danger from this Grey.
With Rosie, Nellie out of the picture it is up to Jen, Jo, Ripley, Mal. Molly and April to save everything. Rosie and Nellie both make a sacrifice and than surprisingly we see Molly making the same sacrifice. She is willing to do whatever it takes to protect her friends.
The art is a little to cartonnish but overall it looks great. The girls are so full of energy. They are all females of action.
The Roanokes do get to see lots of action in all the rescuing they do. They work together for a common goal. These girls are strong and stronger together. This comic does show strong role models for young girls. It shows they are capable of doing anything they want to.
