Comments: Raven’s crew enjoys a meal together. Raven enjoys a neck massage a lot from Ximena. She does seem in ecstasy.
Now Sunshine gets Raven to dance with her at the party onboard the ship. They are drawn having so much fun. Is romance blooming?
The faces are drawn to long. It is like they are stretched out.
This crew of all women is different than your regular pirate crew. They work well together for the most part. They act with politeness. An all female pirate crew is something new and it works so well.
Raven here is not overly used which is great as it gives you the reader a chance to learn something about all the main characters.
Things heat up and even become explosive. The ending is one cliffhanger that is guaranteed to bring you back.

Comments: The ship is under attack and Raven is overboard and missing in action.
Katie is left in charge. She really takes charge and riles up the other females. The crew now they fight without killing. They are humanitarian pirate girls. These girls though can fight and are tough. The fights are just toned down though.
Romance is in the air and water here. Raven, Sunshine, and Ximena how will this play out? Also, each issue tells you a little more about the crew and as you learn more you care more.
Romance and action on the high seas will have you enjoying this adventure.

Comments: Its girl pirates vs guy pirates. As with any group some of the girls do great and some do not. Some are more skilled than any of the men. Dana the guy leading the male pirates is a heel. The First Mate of the female pirates Katie though uses her brains to fight him. She piledrives him. Who knew female pirates could wrestle to.
It is wonderful to see these female pirates and how they react and act in a fight.
What of Sunshine? Where is she? Also what was that end scene all about? Mysteries are building up here.
Even with all the fighting onboard the story did move along slowly. The fighting seemed as much about talking as fighting. There is a time for talk and a time for action.
Having Katie as acting Captain and placing her center stage made this issue a little different and in ways it enhanced it. Katie is a big woman and she can fight with or without a sword. She is the equal or better of any man. As any woman can be.

Comments: The all female crew of pirates are lamenting a fallen crew mate. Each one deals with it differently. The women are all brave fighters yet they still remain women. We see them handling the after math of battle. For some their emotions do come to the fore front.
Raven gives a beautiful eulogy for their fallen comrade saying she is now a free woman. Raven might be jumping the gun on Sunshine.
Sunshine does find herself in a magical kingdom under the sea. No there is no Minnie Mouse mermaid there. This is one interesting twist to this tale on the high seas.
It is great the way the story does not focus on just one character but touches on a number of the crew. Raven is the star but you know that the others are all important to this comic.
This comic always delivers a story that is totally unique from any other on the market. A ship full of lesbian pirates lead by a woman Captain who is also a Princess.

Comments: These women do support each other and they help each other with dealing with each other. Ximena gets some great advice on how to get close to Raven. Ximena does love her.
Sunshine shows her jealous side. She also does something totally new for her. Seeing her with the Queen of the sea adds a new side to this story and new characters. They all appear to be female as well.
On this ship full of lesbians the girls to seem to make fun of the fact that they are lesbians or at least some are. This part of the story does not fit in well.
The art is lovely showing these women off as real women. No skimpy outfits here. These females are written and drawn as role models for a younger audience.
Quinn and Zoe certainly do have a weird type of friendship going. It is one we see blossoming in this issue. Than these two share a moment. It is so beautiful to see and it will make you feel good inside.

Comments: The Heart of the Sea is where Sunshine is now. It is a paradise. Sunshine is starting to enjoy herself in this paradise. The Queen of the Sea rules over it and protects them. Here Sunshine has met a caring friend. Can Ananda this new friend replace Raven in her heart? Sunshine does find herself falling in love. It is wonderful seeing Sunshine being so happy.
The Queen seems to be manipulating all those in her kingdom. This kingdom is full of beautiful girls, no men. So yes the females do enjoy each other's company. The Queen though this issue has you wondering about her.
It is wonderful to see the gorgeous art showing these women. You will be spellbound by how the story flows along and you are drawn into it.
Yes this comic is geared towards a younger female audience but anyone can and will enjoy it.

Comments: We see the crew just hanging out and for some getting closer. They are just learning more about each other and some are having fun. Raven the Captain and Ximena her crew mate with a crush on her are spending time together.
It is something else to see a ship crewed by only women and how well it is run. They trust each other and communicate so well. Women do know how to work together best.
Ximena punches out the Captain and yes she did kind of deserve it. Ximena does let loose with her emotions. Raven actually admits her feeling for Ximena here. About time now she just needs to tell Ximena.
All the females shown here stand out as individuals. Each one is her own person. In this issue lots of the crew are featured not just Raven. For this type of issue it works.
What of Katie the First Mate will she find her mate?
This is a wonderfully illustrated and written book good for young girls and anyone else that cares to pick it up.

Comments: Raven and Ximena are both thinking of the other and both unsure what to do next. Others are enjoying their new found closeness.
Meanwhile Sunshine is helping a pointy stick. Or the stick is helping itself. Either way Sunshine is no dummy.
Raven starts to realize just how she acted towards Ximena. Raven was a complete butthead. We see Raven does take her time realizing what she did. She is more a girl of action than of thought.
The non close up art on the people lacks detail. Like no mouths or noses.
Sunshine is a woman of action. She sets her mind and acts upon it. Though her heart leads her actions more than her mind.
Aw so much emotion and love and happiness. Raven and Ximena make the well not quite perfect but close enough couple. The story is so beautifully told and than we have Sunshine and Ananda such a beautiful couple as well and so in love.
It is wonderful the way this book has girls falling in love with girls and not one word about this being out of place is mentioned. Pure love is the most beautiful thing to see.

Comments: Raven and crew are heading to Golden Rock a extravagant palace.
The thing about this comic that stands out each issue is not just the face the ship is crewed by lesbian pirates for the most part but that they are as good or better than any male pirate. They do and act differently but they get the job done. Actually there are bi girl pirates onboard to. Basically there is all kinds of sexuality. Plus the other pirate crew they meet looks to have a transgender onboard.
The girls do show off their emotions. It is easy to tell who loves who. Sunshine and Nanda are shown acting as two people in love and it is sweet to see.
Raven has a plan to attack her brother Magpie. It involves a make over.
These female pirates make for the most entertaining crew you will ever see on a pirate ship. They are beautiful yet done in a style that is not overly sexual. The story is exciting even without any fighting, all the interaction between the pirate girls will have you hooked.

Comments: Asha one of the dancers decides she will teach Katie how to dance. Asha is a tall black woman and Katie is more musculature.
Raven has a make over and when Ximena sees her she is so turned on. The sparks fly. Raven and Ximena are a couple and all know it. You can feel the love they share. There is a scene that is really entertaining as Ximena joins a meeting. These two do make a cute pair of love birds.
This pirate ship full of females is unlike any pirate ship you have ever seen.
The girls are planning an attack. Raven it is easy to see is a natural born leader. Raven gives some really great advice to Zoe one of her crew.
There is so much romance going on aboard this ship it should be called the Love Boat. It is wonderful to see so many couples fall in love.
Golden Rock has a beautiful Golden Palace. It is illustrated to show off its splendor.
The best though is all the romantic relationships forming between these women. It is great to watch them as they fall into a relationship. Love is in the sea air.

Comments: Shiori Asato and her dancers plus some of Raven's crew along with Raven herself enter the palace grounds. It seems Raven has a plan. Another group is sneaking in and they meet some guards one of whom is a little odd. Well with so many gay females in this comic it does seem only right to throw in a gay guy. Gay or straight he is still an odd fellow.
The third team is this planned event sits waiting. They get to listen to some poetry. All the girls are getting into place and ready.
Now two members of this female crew reveal themselves to be more than they appeared to be. This is a different twist in the story. It does make for interesting future talks.
The plan well it goes like a lot of plans do and that is not according to. Basically all hell breaks loose and the one team of girls will have to fend for themselves.
Raven and the other pirate females are all given equal time in this story. This is good to see once in awhile so you learn not just about Raven but those around her and you begin to care what happens to them all.

Comments: As the palace is in ruins Raven makes her move. She wants her brother. Her plan is working for the most part. Pirate girls can improvise though. All hell breaks loose as the male pirates and female dancers alike both run for safety.
Love plays a huge part in motivating these pirate girls. For the person they love they will face any odds.
Raven and her brother Magpie pick champions to do battle for leadership of the pirates. Sunshine and Quinn are illustrated in some sword fighting action in an all female fight.
The art does show these female pirates as normal women well except for the ones who are not totally human.
It is wonderful to see the way these female pirates support and care about each other. Some are even in love with another. Raven she most of all cares for all members of her crew.

Comments: Sunshine is practicing with her trident. Her and Quinn are in a battle against two ninja like opponents. Why? Raven is fighting some Dracula lookalike called Magpie. Why? How did he and Raven get together?
Raven and members of her crew are talking about things that happened in the last issue or two so if you did not read them you will not be able to totally follow what is going on.
How did Raven set up for her to become Captain of the Fleet? It is a nice direction for the comic.
The female pirates are all cementing their relationships. Some are going great and others are strained and there is stuff going on that is a mystery.
Now when it is all said and done Raven and Ximena are the perfect couple. They are both so in love with the other. No matter what is going on around them this is a stable part of their lives. Love is grand and for these pirate girls it gives this comic a nice warm fuzzy feeling as you watch the cute couple just enjoying each others company.
