This is my actual 2008 letter to comic book Scooby- Doo # 133. A letter is like a review.
Allen
Dear Johnny DC:
I got little behind in my letter writing to Scooby-Doo. Local store in my area stopped selling Scooby-Doo comics.
I had difficult time finding issues. I finally went back to library and got copies from kids section. Today is catch up day. I really like Scott Neely cover on issue # 133. It looked like very bad place to be for Shaggy and Scooby-Doo. Jungle was terrible place to take vacation. I wondered if alligator was making ticking sound. I always pondered what happened to gator in Captain Hook story. My curiosity got the best of me. I had to read "Hot Time in the Temple Tonight." I tried hard to figure out mystery of The Fire Warriors. I enjoyed mystery. I even solved correctly.
I had problem with "Secrets Unlimited" story. Why did wax not melt off robot when it fell into hot coals? I did like rest of story. It was kind of strange seeing Secrets Unlimited actors. They were different version of Mystery Inc.
I hope some day all of "Velma's Monsters of The World" will be collected into special edition. I had never heard of Calchona creature. I wonder if Chile creature was also related to Yogi the Bear? I could also feel was genetic link to Scooby-Doo. I could almost large sandwich that Scooby took from Shaggy's picnic basket. Scott Neely did a spooky cover and added his talents to Calchona story. Nice job, Scott!
