Title: Lumberjanes: True Colors (GN) Publisher: BOOM! Studios Written by: Lilah Sturges Illustrated by: Polterink Lettered by: Jim Campbell Cover by: Alexa Sharpe Created by: Shannon Watters, Grace Ellis, Noelle Stevenson & Brooklyn Allen Price: $ 14.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.boom-studios.comComments: The Lumberjanes summer camp is nearing its end. They have had some strange adventures there. The art being black and white with splashes of color thrown in works nicely. Jen the counselor for the Lumberjanes is being evaluated. So she is on edge. Her evaluator Dana is one nice person. She has such a lovely personality. Ripley now is having an identity crises. She looks at herself one way and she is finding out others look at her another way. She runs off and finds a zebracorn on a skateboard yes really. Ripley is finding out that fitting in is not as fun as standing out. She is finding out that being herself was a lot more fun and that she does play an important part in her friends lives. So with Jen in charge and Ripley forgotten, pus a zebracorn runing around can things get any more wild well these are Lumberjanes at camp so yes a fire breathing dragon shows up to. The art is so much fun. Magical beasts are real here and some things are so strange. The Lumberjanes are cute with a fun adventurous side. With all that is going on here the basic story is about being who you really are, you should be yourself. Being who you are is the best thing for you. Richard Vasseur
