James Rubino writes story to feel autobiographical. He is a man is deep despair. To paraphrase:

Though never actually published, this book was created ten years ago as James Rubino entered into one of the darkest valleys of his life. Now a decade later he still continues in that valley and God has not delivered him out of that valley. James says God has walked with him. James goes on to say he can honestly say the hardest and the best years of his life.

The comic explores positives and negatives of James during that journey. Also, knowing that Jesus has sacrificed himself on Cross for human sins. This is a very moving personal story by James Rubino.
