Rex is Queen Elizabeth’s Top Dog. He is a spoiled little Corgi. Rex lives the life of luxury at pretty recent Buckingham Palace. The story happens during the time when Donald Trump was President. Donald Trump and Melinda Trump are visiting Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip. The President’s dog wants to mate with Rex. The advances are not wanted.
I did not like the attempted sex scenes between the two dogs. I did not think appropriate in any way for children.
I just wanted to watch film because Prince Phillip recently passed away at age 99 in real life.
Rex gets lost from Buckingham Palace. He no longer has identifying collar. The story explores how Rex goes from luxury to being in kennel. He also has to fight for life in dog Fight Club.
The art in story had feel of “Up” movie. The story though was rather disturbing. It is PG rated with mild innuendo, threat and dangerous behavior.
I would not be putting this on must watch list. It is just a movie of curious recent fictional history of Rex. I am not sure if Queen actually has Corgi dogs. I do know though Donald trump does not have a dog.
I got DVD from library. The cost was zero unless returned late. I had no desire to watch DVD second time. I returned “The Queen’s Corgi” in one day. I could have kept movie for seven days. I also did not suggest movie to others in my family.
