Interesting story during fall harvest season. The story is set at Pumpkin field with Corn Maize, Pumpkin fields Petting Zoo and many other attractions to get people interested in visiting pumpkin themed place. There are even rides on wagon behind tractor. There are also plenty of food stands.
The story is set on last night of season for pumpkin patch.
The main characters are two people about senior in high school age. The girls name is Deja and the boy's name is Josiah. They find romance and friendship. The book also explores that Josiah is friends with Deja. He thinks likes another girl. This does not work out though when another girl did not have anything in common with him.
I liked how the story really explored the Pumpkin Patch. I liked how Josiah and Deja grew to care for each other. They had both worked at Pumpkin Patch for several years. Deja always found way to work with Josiah. They shared lots of common interests. Josiah learned that he only knew another girl his age from distance and did not have any talks with her. The relationship turned out to be obsession instead of real love. He found out that wanted to be with Deja even after Pumpkin season was over.
Here is what the back cover says about Pumpkin heads
Deja and Josiah are seasonal best friends.
Every Autumn, all through high school they've worked together at the world's best pumpkin patch. They say good-bye every Halloween, and they're reunited every September 1.
But this Halloween is different. Josie and Deja are finally seniors. It's their last season at The Patch, and last shift together - their last good-bye.
Josie's ready to spend the whole night feeling melancholy about it. (He's the melancholy type) But Deja has a plan. What if instead of moping and instead of the usual- slinging lima beans down at the Succotach Hut- they went out with a bang? They could see all the sights! Taste all the snacks! Maybe Josie could even talk to that cute girl he's been mooning over for three years.
What if their last shift was an adventure?
