Scooby-Doo! Team-Up issue # 1 Story title: Man-Bat and Robin Part one Writer: Sholly Fisch Artist: Dario Brizuela Publisher: DC Comics Published: Nov. 21st, 2013 Reviewed by: Allen Klingelhoets This is first of two-part team up between Mystery Inc and Batman and Robin. The groups combine together to capture Man-Bat. The origin of Man-bat is also given in story. Doctor Langstrom hoped to use a bat extract to help cure deafness in humans. Rather than risking anyone else's safety he tested it on himself. It did not work like he expected. He turned into Man-Bat. In Man-Bat form he is more animal than human. Batman had antidote and was going to attempt to turn doctor human again. Batman and Robin are drawn more like in 1960's television show. I liked how references were made to old Scooby-Doo and Batman shows where even stated that Mystery Inc. had multiple cross-overs with from everyone from Batman and Robin and Globetrotters and many other that are not really mentioned by name. It was fun story. I liked how Shaggy and Scooby-Doo quickly attempted to avoid any scary detective work when mention of Man-Bat was talked about by Batman. There was a lot of action. I got to see three others dressed up like Man-Bat who were stealing from shopping mall. I liked seeing two teams' group together to catch thieves. I liked also seeing vampire masks recovered to reveal identities. It was scary than to next confront real Man-Bat. The comic ended in a continued next issue conclusion. Allen Klingelhoets
