I really enjoyed watching Daredevil show on BLU-RAY. The show based on Marvel character of same name was first streamed on NETFLIX. I liked how showed Matt Murdock in his early days as crime fighter by night and lawyer by night. The show also showed origin of Daredevil. It showed how Matt was blinded by truck carrying radioactive liquids in barrels. The truck had accident and liquid got into Matt’s eyes when barrels broke. This was very close to what happened in issue one of Daredevil wrote by Stan Lee. How Matt trained to be a hero was though very different from Stan Lee’s idea. Maybe was same in Marvel Knights series. I will have to see if can find some of those stories in collected versions through library.

I liked seeing Matt as young lawyer just getting start with his partner Foggy Nelson in Hell’s Kitchen area in New York. Karen page was secretary as also was in comic book wrote by Stan Lee. I am also busy reading volume one of Masterworks Daredevil.

Wilson Fisk played a young version of Kingpin. Vondie Curtis-Hall played reporter Ben Urich. The story was told mostly through before time Matt took on costume of Daredevil. There were some very mature themes. I even saw character I liked die in show. I saw who helped train Matt to be such an excellent fighter. I am not sure how Matt Murdoch survived punishment of so many battles without body armor. He did not use healing pool like in first Daredevil movie in theaters in 2003. The radiation took away his eyesight. It enhanced all his other body senses.

The television series was part of Marvel Universe series of Luke Cage, Iron Fist and this one Daredevil. I have also watched season one of Luke Cage. There were several mentions of a good lawyer. I did not know until later talking about Nelson and foggy law firm.

I got to see how idea came about to create red Daredevil costume. I got to see how idea of body armor was put into costume. I got to see how Matt Murdoch’s life was change when his father did not do what told when boxing. He was supposed to lose fight. Matt’s father would not do this. He lost his life for not taking what is called in boxing as “a dive”. This was very close to way Stan Lee wrote in first issue.

There are at least two more seasons. I could though only find season 2 through library loan services.

I appreciated streaming show enough to want to also read Daredevil Masterworks Daredevil # 1 and order season 2 of Daredevil.

Wilson Fisk actually scared me as villain in series.
