Book title: Whoo Whoo Who’s out there? Written by: K.M. Waldvogel Illustrated by: Jayden Ellsworth Genre: Children’s educational book About 250 words Published by: Orange Hat Publishin 2021 Reviewed by: Allen Klingelhoets I got book from library in children’s book section. I actually met author at local Farmer’s Market where she was one of vendors promoting or selling items. I recalled that I reviewed another one of her children’s books “Three Littler Ghosts” several years ago. I thought would review her new owl book this year. I read new book in matter of minutes. The book told story of a Mother owl and her little owl perched together on a tree over looking a meadow. The baby owl was scared of all the sounds. The mother was there to reassure baby owl that was only sounds of night bugs or deer settling down in meadow. The mother comforted baby owl that even when grew up she would be watching over even if not always present. I really also appreciated art that went along with story. Jordan Ellsworth was excellent choice as illustrator in my humble opinion. Here is what back cover says about book. “You may child will always be in my heart. Now and forever.” Baby owl’s fears increase with each night’s sound and sights. He wonders how he will survive in such a scary world. Momma owl reassures him that he will learn about life as he grows and she will watch over him until he is ready to soar on his own. Follow the author on Face Book. Allen Klingelhoets
