Cats are guardians to the underworld in folklore & superstitions.
They can guide or deter those who cross their paths.
A well-known archetype for evil is the imprint of the dog's image, as a wolf, jackal or other ferocious god of chaos in a more masculine, overtone.
While the women and feminine evil is typically seen as a lesser force in Egyptology.
Set, or Seth, is known as the God of Evil in ancient Egyptian legends.
The people, spent time
depicting him with a large amount of anger & chaotic will in art, such as killing his own brother, himself. (Osiris)
Set was considered the embodiment of the power that evil could take in a god like form in man's hands.

Set was also known as the prince of darkness.
His spirit was the masculine force of night & the counterpart would be the feminine side, which is more nurturing by the cat goddess or other friendly creatures.
The lore of temptations to do evil is strongest in his sense of time, overall.
Mistakenly, he is referenced in various text as opposing Horus, (the sun((the sun set).
while they could be adversaries, (they also must coexist) & so is why he keeps his god title.
His power is pure rage and murder, treachery & mystery.
These are all sorts of spiritual enigmas to open your brains with.

His might also lies in storms and violence.
He can overthrow any kingdom through these actions.
Osiris's sister-wife, Isis, reassembled his corpse and resurrected her dead brother-husband with the help of the goddess Nephthys.
Not only had he killed his brother, Osiris, but mutilated him as well.
So, the body parts & bones had to be collected & pieced together.
Eventually, this resurrection lasts long enough to conceive his son and heir to this kingdom, Horus.
Horus seeks revenge upon Set and many of the ancient Egyptian myths describe their conflicts & are ongoing.
The appearance of Set is one of widespread terror in ancient Egyptian art, while
the Set animal, (or sha,) is associated with the totemic animal itself.
Because Set is identified with the Greek monster Typhon,
these animals, are also commonly known as the Typhonian animal or Typhonic beast. (it sort of looks as a wild dog beast).
basically, described as mostly canine in nature and iconography
and zoologists claim that it doesn't appear to have been any real creature to begin with, but something in the imaginative realms.,
instead
In ancient Egyptian astronomy, Set was commonly associated with the planet Mercury.

in Norse mythology
The underworld is several places of heightened existence.
Hel
(Norse mythical character).
Hel is a female being in Norse mythology who is said to rule over the dead.
The dead are so heavy, that they will go underground & into under realms such as this.
First beginning,
Hel was the place of the underworld and later the name was morphed into a fantasy goddess, instead and more portals were created
which these spaces took on new spiritual meanings & were sent to be ruled over by Odin,
who is another associated deity with death (in German paganism especially.)
Apparently, these rulership's were created through certain genetic bloodlines and to whom the family tree seemed fit within each energy,
was also very important as well.
(the connection.)
Odin is always depicted as the king of kings,
royal, wise & abundant.
But,
still netherless,
he presides over death.
Cat Moon Magazine (=✖ ᆺ ✖=)Gothic Underworlds
The Vikings believed him to be the named creator of their world.
He was known as the greatest of all Norse gods and the ruler of Valhalla, as well- (where the bravest warriors went when they died.)
Veles, King of the Slavic Underworld
Veles, the Slavic god of magic and alchemy
reference (https://kafkadesk.org/2020/10/30/slavic-mythology-veles-king-of-the-slavic-underworld/)
Veles is the king of departed souls and wisdom,
as such he became naturally associated with the supernatural.
His underworld is typically described as a path way,
through meadows & fields like particularly,
places of natural wonder.
In Greek myth,
The rivers Acheron, Cocytus, Lethe, Phlegethon, and Styx all converge at the center of the underworld,
into a great marsh, (which sometimes is also called the Styx.).
Styx (/ˈstɪks/; Ancient Greek: Στύξ [stýks])
is a goddess & a river,
which marks the boundaries between Earth (Gaia)
& the Underworld.
While many depictions of Hell,
in America are a fire-based thought form- throughout the world,
this varies in elemental design.

His (Veles) figure is preserved in folklore primarily in the form of saint Nicholas and the devil, too.
During the Christianity rulership's, these deities,
were demonized by the general group of worshippers,
However, the practicalities of their demise were assumed by the saints, instead.

Hades of course, rules over a gothic fury hell
He was usually seen with his three-headed guard dog Cerberus.
He even became synonymous with the word ‘underworld’ itself.
In Greek mythology, she was the counterpart of Hades and the queen of the underworld. (Persephone)
Her underworld is a lush wet vegetative garden like state of eternity.
(sensual)
Her doom
(pomegranate seeds)
(changing seasons)
Pluto
In ancient Greek religion and mythology, Pluto (Greek: Πλούτων, Ploutōn) is ruler of the Greek underworld.
The earlier name for the god was Hades, which became more synonymous for the underworld.
Pluto was God of the dead and lord of the underworld itself.
he also ruled over ores and precious stones and was known as the bringer of wealth.
Wealth & death are interconnected in several aspects of these fables
