Pete the cat loves his big box of crayons. He loves to draw many things like cars, trucks, flowers and trees. And most of all…the big blue sea. He drew in many colors from rocking red to cool cat blue, with a box of crayons, there’s nothing Pete can’t do. One day Pete the cat decided to do something new. He decided to draw his friends. He really loved what he was drawing and used many crayon colors. He really loved his drawings. Pete the cat decided to show friends drawings. Grumpy Toad, Gus the duck and Callie the cat all wanted something different to be drawn depicting them. Pete got confused. He than did not know how to draw new art. He started to compare his art to friends when had art class in elementary school. Pete was very sad. His friends showed art that he thought was very cool to his.
Remember Pete at first thought his art was terrific. His friends who were same ones he first drew boosted Pete’s confidence. They encouraged him to keep on drawing. The gang looked at Pete and said,
“No sweat! It’s all right!
“It doesn’t have to be right.
“Your art is cool because it’s you. Your art is unique.
“Grab your groovy box of crayons. Show us your technique!”
The art teacher agreed “Art should be fun! Art is for everyone!
Pete smiled. “There are no rules. It’s no big deal! Art is how it makes you feel!
Pete the cat again had fun drawing with his crayons. He drew the whole gang in group picture not as in just individual drawings. His friends thought Pete created a masterpiece. Pete learned that the best art comes from the heart.
