Comments: Parminder Patel is onboard the Slingshot to study Pharos an alien. He comes before the real threat of the Borealis.
Pharos look is a nice sleek design. The honeycomb design on his skin is a great touch. Pharos is from a warrior race.
The look given to Pharos’s alien planet definitely lets you know it is alien. Lots of plant life and different architecture.
The use of colors is beautifully done. Lots of subdued colors are used.
This issue sets up what is to come that is the Borealis which would be a huge threat to the planet Earth.
Parminder does have a chat with the alien prisoner and she finds out why he is here and how that came to be. His is a sad story one that could become Earth’s as well.
Parminder is like a psychologist even though she is a technology specialist from Equilibrium. She is a wonderful character that you will want to follow in future issues.

Comments: The Borealis as they wage war on Pharos's race is a presented in brutal scenes of destruction. The colors are beautiful but the art is to blended together.
Pharos's armor has a unique look to it with its angles. Pharos's home planet is done in light somber colors of various colors.
This issue is all about Parminder talking with Pharos trying to learn as much as she can. This Pharos is treated like the ultimate threat to humankind so why are they even taking a chance with him? Yes to learn about another threat but having two threats to worry about makes no sense. Using Pharos against this other threat does make sense. Why though not just try to work with him rather than be ready to kill him. Yes he is a powerful being yet still the way it is handled makes little sense.
Borealis and their coming to Earth is the focus of this issue just it is not pushed to much.
Parminder Patel is a wonderful character and one you are sure to like. She makes this comic.

Comments: Pharos relates how he became ruler of his people over a pile of dead bodies.
Colors are used to make stunning art here. The art is used to good effect to show the power of Pharos. Pharos we find out started on his quest from a sense of love. Pharos though becomes what he hates most.
Pharos is a passionate alien. He wants nothing but peace. He had a hard life and it lead to him making choices that he should never have had to. No one deserves to have had to go through what he did.
Now Pharos only wants one thing out of his life.
The comic is basically Pharos and Parminder Patel standing around talking. Having something more happen in the present rather than just narrating the past would add to the story. The characters are wonderful but this issue Patel was hardly used. Pharos an alien is portrayed as totally human in how he acts. He is a character you will feel for.
