Storm Moon X White Raven
The raven is mostly found in a dark color. In fact, there are black birds that mutate into white shades. With crows especially, the others will try to kill it because it gathers so much attention from predators and for various other reasons. The white dove has always been a symbol for purity and innocence. The raven is a bird of magic and directly tied to the gods, such as Odin & various other death spirits. They will speak through black birds mostly; due to the fear they can draw from us humans.
Dark birds usually have brown or similar eyes, while the white raven is known to have blue ones. Although, it's not uncommon for many styles of coloring to occur. The genetic twist is often a result of a "curse," believed to have been something very unlucky which may shorten the lifespan for itself and others. Superstitiously, it is a very magical omen of excellence and purification in the spirit world. Some would use its blood in rituals of beauty or power.

White Raven, the opera
Composed in 1991
by: Philip Glass
From Madrid, to New York
The title "White Raven," is taken from Greek mythology itself and follows the story of Apollo, a Greek god, who is in love with Princess Coronis, (daughter of Phlegias,) (king of the Lapiths)...
The bird is entrusted to look after her, however mostly, due to its self-destructive boredom, it starts to create lies that cause a lot of havoc in several of the mortal's lives.
The raven said that Coronis was cheating on him with a person named Ischys.
Filled with rage, Apollo kills the young girl with an arrow in her chest, before realizing that the crow had lied.
As the curse, Apollo transforms with his fiery hand, his feathers to black to symbolize the tarnishment he had ultimately caused. The white bird is a messenger of doom and a symbol of lost innocence, due to this.
Apollo is also the one that began the curse of the vampires, too. (So mythologically, they could never find the sunlight again, like serpent's themselves.)
Apollo mostly detests liars and finds those who are hypocritical to be very disturbing beings and bathed in wickedness, to which he cannot stand to be around in any form- unless its genuine to the actions & behaviors themselves.

Viking ravens are the most precious animals in the culture, connected to the all-father, and most treasured of them all.
The Norse Gods & their king, Odin (The God of Kings.)(in life and death, especially.)
In Iceland, they are an important part of tattoo-work & symbology, particularly the cultural heritage and religious movements.
Ravens are deeply associated with prophecy, dreams and spiritual life & death- healing of a genetic nature or strong ancient magic, (which is infused with the ether of ancestors and gods of prior services and lifetimes.). Raven as a spiritual guide and protector can bring many lessons in which you cannot easily hide from, as they have a very keen depth and understanding- precisely targeted. Raven can also be an indicator of soulmate or long love relationships, due to the wisdom that they bring us.
Some popular myths of them are from those of Greek, Celtic, Norse, Pacific Northwest, & Roman folklore. For Greco-Roman legends, the lore In Greek mythology generally presents the ravens as associated with Apollo, the God of prophecy- rather than the king of the dead (Odin.).
Multiple native American tribes historically have presented stories in which the raven is not an agent of death, but one of life giving and creation itself. Generally speaking, despite their small shape, they have a very large presence in the spiritual realities.
In Hinduism, this creature is seen as a messenger between the living and the dead, and it is normal to feed them and expect it to carry food to loved ones who have passed away. In fact, a lot of people believe that they can cross the divide between the realm of the living and dead, quite easily- especially in dreams & visions.

In some cultures, the color white symbolizes that a particular god has blessed an animal with a unique coding for separate existences overall.
Some believe this to being lots of good luck, others bad- but whichever way they did have a very mystical presence and energy for us.
