I got interested in this book after watching "Lyle, Lyle Crocodile" movie on DVD. I really appreciated effort put into movie. I never thought would like movie about crocodile. The story won my heart. I wanted to learn more about Lyle. I also enjoyed music in movie. The treasury book contains four complete Lyle, Lyle Crocodile stories. It also contains an introduction by author Bernard Waber. Plus, a downloadable recording. Bernard Waber reads the first book “The House on East 88th Street. The books in order. “The House on East 88th Street.” The second story was called “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile”. The third story was called: “Lyle and the Birthday Party.” The fourth story was called: “Lyle Walks the Dog.” There was also a count with Lyle activities section and concluding author biography section.
I really enjoyed treasury book. It was easily readable. I got to know characters first seen by me in movie. I think child of about 8 to adult reading age.
The author Bernard Waber was born on September, 27th, 1921 and died on May 16th, 2013. Much more about author is at his website. Not sure who is keeping information current. Just type in Bernard Waber in google search.
