Comments: Lighting strikes around the world and they appear to be giving people super powers. A man in a costume appears to confront several criminals with powers. Who is this man? Is his costume controlling him? We also see a beautiful blonde reporter J. J. who is on the scene and fearless in the sight of danger.
This costumed man is being forced to fight. He just wants to run away. The costume puts up a good fight as it hits hard. The man in it is Don and he is not in control here.
Samuel Antonetti he has powers and is called The Siphon. He is illustrated well showing him using them. Nice use of colors to show his powers off. As Don jumps off a building the action pose is stunning. It will definitely catch your eye.
A lot more explanation about how Don got this costume is needed and about what happened in that warehouse. Other than that the story goes along great. The characters are wonderfully presented. Don is likable and in a situation he does not want to be in. J.J. is forceful. The Siphon is evil and he is a character you will be looking forward to seeing more of.
This is a fun superhero comic that is gets you liking the hero and hating the villian right from the start.

Comments: Professor Zeus Wyndell works for Samuel Antonetti. He does come across as a man who gets things done.
Don is still fighting against the suit. He is still seeing some alien creature to. Don has his superhero name mentioned here, he is the Sire.
Two Fireheart and Banks are holed up since they escaped Don. Now Banks fancys himself the leader and brains of the two. He gets them a job working for Samuel Antonetti. Fireheart is unsure of why he is doing what he is and he wants to know more about how he got these powers. Samuel also wants the third criminal Soran Claus working for him. Fireheart well he has other plans.
J.J. is still out trying to get a story. She is persistant.
Having the Sire fighting with his costume adds a different touch to the story. It has been done before just not that often.
Sire and Fireheart go a few rounds. This issue though does not have a lot of action. There is lots of sitting around talking with not that much being said.
The two criminals are featured more here yet they are not interesting enough on their own. The Sire is not used enough here. We get a mention of the warehouse yet we do not find out what happened there. It would be nice to get some answers.

Comments: Don and J.J. find themselves together on a rooftop. Here Don aka the Sire starts to explain everything. Samuel Antonetti along with his henchmen and Paralys a super powered criminal are at the warehouse.
In the present J.J. sends Don to the police station. Don does as she asks because it is obvious to both he is in love with her. At the police station all hell breaks loose as the Sire engages Paralys and Soren. This fight ends differently than the Sire wanted.
Samuel Antonetti is here and he has evil plans for the Sire and J.J. The Sire takes the next step towards being the hero he is meant to be. He is a good man thrown into a situation he does not fully understand and it has still not fully been revealed to the reader either.
Don and J.J. have been brought together closer by this suit and Don becoming the Sire. He is now a force for life. He now knows that and J.J. is standing by his side.
The art on the alien is gorgeous. The colors pefectly done to help bring out its evil personality. The Sire is drawn in a few heroic poses. J.J. is illustrated as a beautiful woman and one with a strong willed personality.
The issue does get you routing for the Sire.

Comments: The Sire is out after a blue colored guy the scene is pretty much just used to fill in the reader a little bit about who the Sire is. There is a little action though nothing all that exciting.
J.J. is shown at work and she is on easy jobs no danger. It is obvious she hates it and wants back in the field. She is a main focus of this issue and establishing her as a main character works. J. J. is a workaholic. Her and Don do continue to get closer. This is something the reader will want to see happening as they build a bond with each other of more than friends.
The story just keeps adding more to it. A Agent Mahorn is has now entered the picture. He is using the government against these new super powered people and he is after the Sire and Siphon. Will Siphon and the Sire end up working together to stop this common threat?
Will J.J. tell her ex-boyfriend where to go? Will we learn more about how Don got the suit? There are many questions left to answer. Having some mysteries are good to keep you guessing.
This issue and title does have a way of captivating you.

Comments: The Sire and Siphon it appears are now teaming up to stop the alien that wants to conquer Earth. Agent Mahorn does not want to help this alien yet he has no choice.
Page eight and nine are the same page.
J.J. gets caught by the government, how it is not shown and what happened to her ex? This part is just skipped over.
The Sire and the alien in Mahorn's body do go head on. This alien in his alien form is a frightening sight.
The action scenes of Sire fighting have very little backgrounds. This might work if the poses were more dynamic and the art clearer.
Siphon joins the fray and the Presence the name for the evil alien is released which may make it an even greater threat.
Now a mysterious teleport leaves the reader wondering what just happened and why? To many things are not explained. Yes some mystery is good but to be able to understand and follow the story completely you do need to know some things.
The Sire is the main hero of this story yet the other characters are used just as much. A little more focus on him would have been nice to see.
