Title: Under York # 1 Publisher: Image Comics Story: Sylvain Runberg Art: Mirka Andolfo Inks: Carmelo Zagaria Colors: Piky Hamilton Lettering: Fabio Amelia Covers: Mirka Andolfo Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 3 out of 5 stars Website: www.imagecomics.comComments: The first couple pages set the mood and give you an idea what this comic book is about. Allison is working at Sloppy's and she is also an artist. She is a cute girl with a fear of the subway underground or rather whats in it. She has an art show which she is nervious about. Her art has something different about it. Meanwhile on a rooftop something weird and magical is happening. A demon is loose and the heads of all the different groups have gathered to get Allison to help with it. Six families of magic exist in Under York and now it is all up to Allison to save the upper world and keep peace between humans and sorcerers. Everything is dumped on Allison's shoulders. Allison has a friend who is good for comedic relief. The way magic users have created a separate city below New York is done in a way that makes you think it is really possible. As you read this you might find yourself believing magic could be real. The art is nice showing the home of the magical families. The illustrations anytime magic is used are eye catching. It will put you under a spell. Richard Vasseur
