Comments: Valeros battles a big troll in the city of Kaer Maga. The battle is one that has you thinking something is off and it is. Imrijka and Valeros are friends. Imrijka is a green skinned city guardswoman. He is illustrated wonderfully. Plus Valeros has two beautiful women with him Seoni and Merisiel. Ezren is their final companion.
Ezren and his companion Harsk go to a book store and end up underground battling evil creatures bent on their destruction. As their companions come looking for them all you know what breaks loose. More monsters attack.
All the different characters are all wonderfully brought across and you do learn something about them all. The Pathfinders and what it is is not explained, it seems to be some sort of group that lots of beings belong to who are into adventures. This story is just that an adventure filled with everything you could want, women, warriors, monsters and one adventure.
Starfinder the backup story starts out in outer space on a space ship with a frightening dragon attacking. They do find something in the vastness of space. What it is well you have to see for yourself cause it is weird.

Comments: Valeros is dead and he is going to have to fight to go to heaven and not hell. Valeros is facing his judgement which is not his judgement. Than who's is it? Things in this between place are playing out and there must be a reason but what is it?
The lawyer angel and demon are cute characters. Yet they are both naive.
Something weird and mysterious is going on in the land of death. Valeros does not know what but he wants to. He needs to in order to survive. Who is Zelador and who is the other Valeros? Things are really moving along. The big boys all want Valeros's soul.
All the creatures existing here are drawn to frighten and scary you a little. Even the bird with the metal beak is.
This issue focuses entirely on Valeros and this warrior is a decent character who is not a saint nor is he evil. He is a common man that most people can identify with.
Starfinder is the backup story. The creatures that the crew rescue are onboard and they are drawn cute. Yet you do get the feeling something is off about them. We learn more about the Starfinder's mission. This part focuses on the cute creatures who you will be certain are going to cause a world load of trouble.

Comments: Well the way the story opens it is not fully explained what is going on but it is done in a way you can catch on to the gist of it.
Valeros is on trial. Both a devil and an angel want his soul. Valeros in this cosmic trial for his soul is still just a man and he wants to be judged as that man.
Meanwhile the man Zeladar who has changed places with him and is enjoying being human again on earth.
One thing that stands out in this series are the imaginative monsters that our heroes face.
The battles here have battles within them.
The art shows off the characters as warriors and fighters and that includes the women. There is no use of the art to sexualize the women. They are treated as people equal to any man.
Part three of Starfinder finds the crew and passengers at the Planet of Ghosts. This part builds up for what is coming. The passengers the crew picked up are still drawn cute in a creepy sort of way. Kind of a cross between a gremlin and a Teletubby.

Comments: The girls Seoni, Merisiel annd Imrijka know something is off with Valeros. Now Zeladar is an interesting character and it will be of interest to see where the story takes him. The one young woman is obsessed with the fact that she lives longer than anyone she has known or will.
Having Valeros and Zeladar joining together makes for an interesting development in the story line. Valeros with Zeladar's power in him is more powerful.
Will the Valeros's female companions be able to fix him? Will he kill them? Will they kill him?
This is an adventure with some twists and turns that leave you wondering what is coming next.
The backup story Starfinder starts out with the cute and creepy creatures. Captain Navasi leads an away party to the Planet of Ghosts. They do find what they were looking for only it also finds them. Yes things are picking up.
