Comments: Cornwall, Great Britain is where we start off and some people want a sword scabbard really bad.
Duncan gets a call from his Gran. Duncan was on a date with Rose and these two are meant to be together even if both of them do not know it yet. The chemistry between them is so there. He is awkward and she is calm and cool.
Duncan's Gran is full of surprises. Her past is one interesting past. That past has come back and the Questing Beast is part of it.
As Gran talks about the scabbard if you know your Arthurian legends you will know what sword goes in the stolen scabbard. Now the scabbard is magical like the sword but different to.
This issue delivers a exciting story with action and some mystery. The characters are amazing they jump out at you. The Questing Beast is weird and a bit scary. One thing this issue does is get you wanting to come back for more.

Comments: Duncan McGuire is going on a quest with some help from his gun toting Gran. Now this modern update to the Arthurian legends is going to be different you can just tell.
The unearthly demon Ladies of the Lake are a scary touch and so well illustrated to give an ancient magical feel to this comic.
Duncan and his Gran have joined in an adventure or rather she his dragged them into one. Magic permeates the air. The atmosphere is dread builds up and you can feel the evil rising as a dead King walking the land again.
The adventure has started and the fate of the world hangs in the balance.
The mixture of what you know of King Arthur and the legends with the evil rising here and how it is different from what you know makes the story all the more interesting.

Comments: Duncan has begun an adventure with his Gran unlike anything you would expect. Gran is one tough old bird. Rose joins this team she is a beauty and a doctor of history.
These three do go to some interesting places. The Abby has secret places in it and in those places ghosts haunt it.
This version of King Arthur is done like a horror story with all of creation in danger. Gran now she knows what she is doing and she is the only one who knows how to stop King Arthur. Here King Arthur is nothing like what you have read or heard he is an evil blight on the land.
It is wonderful seeing Gran's personality and how she uses modern weapons to combat this ancient evil.
This is a different take of the Arthurian legend. It is full of surprises and one is just how entertaining Gran is. This old lady is something else. Have old knights met their match in high powered rifles and explosives? Can one little old lady with a little help defeat the decades old insidious evil, only here can you find out in these pages and this series.

Comments: Gran, Duncan and Rose are in danger and Duncan he has principals that may cause problems for his Gran who has no qualms against killing.
Theses three people are trying to stop an ancient evil from rising. The story though moves along slowly with nothing happening. We get a glimpse of the evil and Arthur with his minions is a threat that could lead to the fall of humanity it just does not seem like it.
What is the purpose of Duncan here? Things are slowly revealed without explaining what they mean.
This comic needs more to it, more action, more fighting, more plot. The characters shown with the exception of Gran need to be explained more as to who they are and what their purpose is in being in this comic.
Gran to old lady she has an attitude and loves to be in charge. She makes an adorable character.

Comments: Gran does a great job of convincing Duncan to try to save the country. How can he save his country well he has to get the Grail. Duncan is the modern day Percival. Duncan is a brave man and willing to go into the heart of darkness to save his Gran.
Duncan does get a weapon now how will he use it. Duncan is finding himself in situations he never expected to be in. He is becoming a true Knight.
The story needs more explanation to it and what is happening and why. The art is ok just that there is not really much for it to show off. Excalibur looks weird and kind of evil as it rises up. The evil knights are done to plain.
Duncan is growing as a man and slowly becoming a hero. He is learning how to save people. The question is can he save his entire country.
The brief fight in this issue is anti-climatic. More action was needed with these knights around a good sword battle would be great to see but we do not.
Duncan is a good man.

Comments: Duncan is playing the part of the hero. He is armed with a sword and things do get thrilling and bloody. The magics that abound here are dark and evil with a malevolent twist.
A Duncan and his gran battle King Arthur and his underlings a lot is happening. The final battle is anti-climatic.
Duncan has grown and turned into the man he was meant to be. His gran has not changed. As they continue on Duncan and Gran do work together. The giant snake creature is drawn amazing it is a thing of evil.
The ancient magic flowing through these pages is shown through the art yet the story could have brought it out more. The sense of ancient Arthurian magic and characters is all done in a off manner. The characters are similar to the ones you know yet different.
Duncan is the stand out character in this series. He a true hero.
The ending does set up for more issues to come at some future date.

Comments: Galahad is loyal to his King and he is incredibly stuck up. Galahad endures the Siege Perilous to prove himself.
Duncan is the hero fighting any evil Rose informs him of. Now Gran is a character she is rough around the edges and uncouth. She has a way of getting right to the point.
Duncan finds himself in a battle with a now demonic Galahad. Gran joins in and the fun really begins. She is stoic and does get right down to business. Gran is illustrated as a woman who is aged and looking weathered. You can tell she has seen a lot and been through a lot.
The overall issue needed more action and for it to be more exciting. The action we get is toned down.
The ending here will assure that you come back. It is a stunning one that will leave you wanting more.
One thing that is well done in this issue and series is that Duncan, Rose and Gran are all treated like the main characters. The story revolves around all three not just one.

Comments: Duncan and Gran are out in the middle of the night investigating a ritual. Duncan thinks Beowulf yet Gran says no since he is not real. Than we switch to Beowulf meeting King Author. Beowulf is illustrated as a fury warrior. The way he speaks as if he is a hero while working for the most evil King Author is strange. Also Merlin makes his appearance he is definitely a weird individual.
Beowulf goes on the attack. He is an unstoppable force of destruction. Duncan and Gran must fight for their very lives against him.
The darkness of this book brings out the evil of ancient Camelot. King Author is the ultimate evil and he will use whoever he can to achieve his goals.
Evil walks the lands and only Duncan, Gran and Rose can stop it. Are they up to the task?
Gran has a wonderfully annoying personality. She knows she is right and is one determined little old lady. Give her a gun and watch out the ancient forces of evil will get bullet ridden.
Ancient Authorian Myths are way different in these pages.

Comments: Duncan and Gran are under attack and Duncan reacts fast and with hard hitting action. Beowulf is on the attack he thinks he is such great stuff. The great hunter Beowulf vs a man and his grandmother who do you think would win. It is an exciting fight.
Gran aka Bridgette is such a character she is tough yet lovable. Rose is a beautiful woman and she detects when evil arrives. If you thought Beowulf was big bad and evil wait till you see what is coming next.
The use of legendary mythological characters works great here. This issue has several and they are portrayed wit slight differences and lots of similarities. You will not be disappointed. Gran now she is one old lady you would never want to piss off. She would blow your head off. She does love her guns and can handle them well. Mixing some magic in with them works well to against ancient evils. Duncan is the new kid on the block and he learns fast and as we see he is a fierce fighter taking on odds that would frighten others away.
The past has come to the present and now Duncan must fight to protect it and ensure there is a future. He is a reluctant hero. Yet a hero all the same.
Just wait till you get a look at Grendel.

Comments: Duncan is just trying to get a ride. Meanwhile at the nursing home Bridgette has Grendel come visiting and is he a sight. Little old woman meet big scary monster of legend. The art delivers a frightening monstrosity. Gran as usual finds herself ready to fight. She may be an old lady but she is far from dead. Just let any monster get close to her and they will see.
There is a little character building here and some insight into Gran's non monster hunting time. The majority of the comic of one huge battle with Grendel.
Duncan is starting to become more like his Gran Bridgette. Which considering his new focus in life may be a good thing. Duncan is getting into the right frame of mind for his new vocation.
Gran the dear old lady is cute as she looks the part of an old woman yet she jumps into action ready to slay. Those around her see a little old lady yet she is so much more.
The star of this issue though is the creature called Grendel. You will be scared.

Comments: Grendel is illustrated as one big scary creature. Gran the dear old lady can fight and is a woman of action. She would also kick your butt for calling her an old lady.
Duncan and his Gran find themselves in a fight for their very lives. In other words just another day. Now Gran looks amazing with a chainsaw in hand. Things do get very bloody and very gory. And just when this horror show is as worse as you think it can get yes things go from worse to the killing has just begun.
The fighting with Grendel is action packed with a nice little bit of humor thrown in. This issue gives us some insight into how Gran operates. Gran is a real dear here as she looks out for the other senor citizens that she lives with.
Duncan has certainly gotten more into his role as knight slaying monsters.
Seeing what Gran does without any guns around makes it clear this little old lady will hurt you badly if you cross her.

Comments: Grendel's mother is one hideous beast. Duncan arrives to help his Gran and protect the innocent.
Nimue a new player enters the field. She helps to even the playing field. Watching Gran this old lady taking on monsters is always cool and her obsession with guns which is understandable since she is fighting monsters.
Duncan while battling the monster gets a sword to even this fight. The battle is slow yet it does not seem as if it should be but it is.
King Author and Merlin are villains here. King Author is the leader of this evil group. Both him and Merlin are illustrated as demonic beings.
This issue needed more to it and to get you more involved and caring about the people in the story.
The villains it would be nice to see an issue that explains more about their plans and how they will achieve them. King Author as evil along with Merlin is a fantastic idea it just needs to be played up more. Having Author just sitting on his throne is not very scary.

Comments: Gran gets set upon by six magpies. She does deal with them leaving a bloody mess. It is a cute scene.
It is nice the way they weave in the humor aspect with Duncan and Rose dating and Gran gets in on the teasing fun as well.
The Green Knight is impressive. Is he foe or friend? As we first see his ax it does make an impression.
The story here moves along slowly. The characters do not see much action. The characters other then the humor bits are mostly just there. No character development in any way advancing them or the story.
Having a comic take place in modern times with modern weapons while using Arthurian characters is a wonderful idea. Plus seeing who will pop up in the next issue is interesting.
Duncan is the one person here who is the most normal. He does readily present himself as a modern knight fighting the good fight for a just cause.

Comments: Rose becomes the new Gawain as she takes on the Green Knight. The Green Knight is one evil looking being of unstoppable rage. Rose does step up here. She does take action and with a violence you do not usually see from her.
Duncan and Gran do have chemistry yet it is not used very much in this issue. Gran does show she does have a more kind and caring side. This is a nice change to see from her very tough and hard personality.
This issue only had a short bar fight and otherwise no action.
Duncan is such a wonderful character, he is so down to earth while everything around him is going crazy. He is the most normal person in this comic.
More magical stuff is needed in these pages and more about Arthurian times. Plus the main villain King Arthur has he been forgotten about? The Green Knight was a good character but it looks as if he is now gone.
We need Duncan holding a sword in one hand and a gun in the other more. Plus more wild Gran action. These are what makes you want to see more.

Comments: Nimue meets Rose and we learn a lot about Nimue. She has done a lot to create her son Duncan. Here we learn more about Duncan's mother and that she is just as crazy as his Gran.
Lancelot is illustrated to perfection. He is like a force of nature unstoppable. We cut away from him much to early.
Rose has some men drop in to visit her. They are helpful. Than she gets another gun in her face. She must be getting used to that by now. Being a knight's girlfriend does have its down falls.
This issue needed more action. A big fight is needed. Duncan can fight so he should be shown doing just that. So can Gran especially Gran can be so it needs to be done.
Lancelot is the best looking thing in this issue. He is scary. Yet he does have a look of knowing he is right. He would be next to impossible to beat in battle.
There should be more Arthurian talk and references. The characters of Gran and Duncan are not used enough. Even Rose who is a focus here is not used enough.

Comments: Duncan and Gran are on the run from Lancelot. He is one powerful looking creature. Duncan and Gran do not know how to stop him.
Gran sits atop a sleeping dragon smoking with Duncan at her side. These two are monster hunters and killers. They are stubborn well Gran most of all. The take on the unbelievable on a daily basis.
The part about knights needs to be made clearer in the art. Lancelot looks ok yet would you guess him to be a knight if you were not told he was. Probably not. The dragon is drawn wonderfully from what you are shown. It would be better to get some better poses of it though. The one eye close up of the dragon is done well as it sees Duncan and Gran.
What is going on with Rose well she is with an organization that looks after these weird situations. Lots of shooting going on but not all that much is actually going on.
Gran she does shine as a character. She needs to be played up more and her relationship with Duncan used more in the story.

Comments: Galahad and Lancelot are here and you get the idea they are going to battle but they do not. Now a huge green dragon is there as well and Lancelot makes ready to attack it.
Duncan and Gran and all the others are after one thing within the Grail Castle. With all the Knights and a dragon plus Merlin and others you would think there would be lots of action yet there is not.
There is so much going on and it is all so hard to follow. Some explanation is definitely needed. With so many mythological beings in this story you would think it has to be good yet they need to be used a lot better it is not enough to just have them in the comic.
Duncan is a great character and his love Rose is as well. They are humans caught up in this world of magic and horror. The part of this comic that are the best parts are the human parts where we get to know the humans and their characters and personalities.
The dragon is drawn as a powerful beast. The knights and Merlin and other magical beings are drawn as decaying evil pathetic things. The grandeur of Camelot is not here.

Comments: There is a battle going on but it is to mashed up together to see actually what is going on. Gran does act she is the one who best knows what is going on and what to do. Gran, Duncan and Rose do make a great team.
King Arthur gets a lot of his power back. He is risen here and on the move. In Britain he visits its current ruler who rules no more after the visit.
Evil things are on the move and coming for our three heroes. These things are big and nasty.
The story and art both needed to be more focused. The characters are all great ones yet not fully used here.
Merlin is drawn emotionless. Arthur for being a great evil needs more of a sadistic look to him.
Gran is still a cute tough old lady who will kill you dead and anything else she wants to.

Comments: Duncan and Gran wake up some fairies and these are definitely not Tinkerbell. These fairy creatures are little monsters that will give you nightmares. One thing you will learn here is that all fairies are bastards.
Gran is illustrated with some very emotional facial expressions. She is intense.
The story is not explained at all here. People are running aroud and there is fighting but the reason for it is not mentioned.
Merlin, King Arthur, fairies, and more fill this comic book with wonderful characters that are used in a different manner than you normally see. Explaining more what is going on and telling us more about the characters involved would make for a better comic. If you have read the other comics in this series you will know what is going on otherwise you will be totally lost.
There are so many guns shown in this issue yet none are used. Why not? Gran has always looked great shooting a gun. Here she does not get to shoot one only carry and hold them.
Medieval times are coming to the modern world and the world is not ready for them.

Comments: The Grail Castle the gang is here and ready for a fight. Duncan, Gran and Rose are heavily armed. Yes its guns vs swords and magic.
Meanwhile King Arthur battles Lancelot. Arthur is a frightening nightmare and Lancelot is powerful looking. Lancelot fights the undead. One hero vs an army.
Now the next creature these brave sould will have to face is one you do not want to look upon.
Now what is going on with the unexplained beings talking about other King Arthurs? How are they going to fit in? It is good to bring in new characters just a reason is needed so the reader knows what is going on.
This evil version of King Arthur as well does not seem all that evil as he just runs away from Lancelot. He should be more willing to fight.
Lancelot does take out an army but other than that extremely short lived battle there is no action. All these warriors and fighters you would think there would be more.
Duncan the new Gawain is the good guy, Rose his beautiful girlfriend and Gran the crust old lady with a machine gun ready to shoot anything that moves or acts wrong. They need to be used better. The little chats with Gran are fun yet they need some action added to them.

Comments: A male gorgon is causing trouble in the city.
Rose's parents are found and it is a happy reunion. Well except for the mythical creature running loose in the streets turning everyone to stone.
Gran, Rose and Duncan find themselves met by Eliod, of Camelot. He does look every bit the knight of old. He threatens them and they do go on the run and on the attack. Gran for an old lady can fight hard. She has an unorthadox method to that works.
Gran can be sentimental as well as tough. She may be rough around the edges and harsh which is just her way. She does love her grandson Duncan. Here we do get a peek at her acting like a caring grandmother. It is a rare thing.
We are treated to yet another frightening demonic being. Who and what is he? Will the battle against the various King Arthurs ever end.
Having Duncan and Rose being shown as a couple is great to see their love blossoming. Gran it is nice to see she is actually human and not just a mythogical killing machine.
The monsters roam free here and they are scary. The art brings out that side of them for all to see. Be frightened of Arthur times.

Comments: Y'Vain and his giant lion are chasing after Duncan, Rose and Gran. This is one thrilling and very dangerous chase. The fire breathing lion is something you do not see every day. They do find a safe place to ready themselves for the battle to come.
At the Grail Castle there is a hungry giant which is magnificently illustrated. Gran's instructions on how to fight a giant are humorous. She is willing to tell people how to help themselves but does not care if they actually do.
In Camelot Merlin and King Arthur ready for battle against a false king.
The close up of Gran's face is such a work of art. Her expression is priceless. Then we see the who after seeing the what. This player in the game did do a lot. She also has Gran in her sites and she is ready to pull the trigger.
The use of guns and explosives against these ancient threats makes for a nice fresh way of fighting them. Some magics we see can be stopped by a bullet.
The characters especially Gran are so wonderful. They just need more to happen and more concentration on one aspect of the store and not jumping around to three different parts without giving them the time in each part to get into what is happening there.
Duncan still comes across as fairly innocent and naive even after he has been fighting these supernatural beings for a long time now. He is a nice guy who has become a fighter. It is great to follow along as he grows into his new role.

Comments: Gran and Mary have a standoff. These two are both tough. Gran does offer Mary a deal.
Now this story is a take on Jack and the Bean Stock. The art on the giant been attacked is poorly done it is so hard to see what is going on.
The Knight Lancelot is met by several versions of Galahad.
There is a lot going on yet no explanation as to how it all ties together. Lots of supernatural Knights around yet what is their purpose?
The evil King Arthur is with Merlin who is drawn as a pitiful looks man.
Gran, Duncan and Rose are trying to raise the water god Leir. King Leer apparently is based off of him.
This issue has next to no action or fighting. Gran is usually a character that provides some action and comedic relief. Duncan does very little and Rose does nothing at all this issue.
The fairy shown does have an evil attitude and is drawn to match.
Gran is still the best character in this story. Her attitude is tough as nails and then some. She would take on anything and any odds with guns blazing.

Comments: Different versions of King Arthur and his Knights are fighting. Yes in this reality there are more then one of them. The art shows the one version to be more monsterous while the other is more knightly. The demonic Arthur finds himself on the losing side as he is on the battle field. It takes a cheating knight to save the demonic King Arthur. Yet the battle will continue on, how many King Arthurs are there?
Now Gran decides they need help so in the woods she calls apon someone who has fought a King. He is illustrated to show he is deadly and with some mystery about him.
This issue is focusing on the fighting between these mythological creatures. The story and what and why need to be gotten into more. Gran is a wonderful character and everytime you see her you just love her. She is used a little bit here but the rest of the characters are not used at all.
The creature art needs to show them more as supernatural beings and not hide them so much or down play that side of them. The art and story are both to subdued. Lets see an all out war waged.

Comments: Robin Hood does look a bit raggety here. Also the evil that surrounds him is palpable. Robin and his Merry Men are a bunch of demonic creatures. The art brings out their evil viscous looks.
Elaine is now working with her mother Gran. She is a tough woman to just like Gran.
King Arthur the main one faces a threat from one huge killing machine. He gets lots of help in fighting it. Robin, Gran, Duncan and Rose all join in.
Robin Hood makes for a great twisted character. He and his Merry Men are devious creatures. Gran finds a way to use them to her advantage as she usually does with anyone unless she just kills them.
This issue is slow yet has some interesting characters. The Green Knight even appears briefly. He is illustrated as another evil being out for blood.
All these mythical characters that are shown are all so blood thirsty.
The story need to focus more on what is going on and why it is. The characters need to be utilized better.

Comments: The Green Knight is coming for Rose aka Gawain. Both are beautifully illustrated. He looks powerful and full of magic, Rose looks scared yet you can still sense how strong she is.
Gran is a little old lady yet she is the most dangerous of all. She has a plan to let loose King Leir on the Arthurs and more. Gran is one amazing woman she never stops going and always is in charge running full steam ahead.
Duncan and Rose get to have a date night. Duncan is a romantic. They do deserve this. It would be nice to see them kiss.
Now this issue ends with a game changer making the scene. It is nicely illustrated.
The story here does fly by fast. Having it spread out over might have worked better. The romance and Gran's wry sense of humor more then make up for there being next to no violence.
Elaine is working on a part of Gran's plan. She is trying to get the Grail.
Lots going on here and it is all easy to follow the issue explains things wonderfully.
Magic is all around them.

Comments: The Three-Fold Knight seeks the Holy Grail. Meanwhile Gran, Duncan and Rose are waiting for any king wh tries to get the real Excalibur. As the kings attack Gran gets an idea. Her ideas usually mean run and duck. In this case its to wish her family and friends Merry Christmas. On this Holy Day they get a breather.
For Mary she sees her son achieve his goal. She however did not fully get what she wanted and kings are going to pay.
The story does move slowly with very little happening. There is a brief flurry as the kings try to get the sword and Gran and friends shoot them up.
Gran when she is used shines as a character yes she is one tough old bird.
It was nice seeing the Three-Fold Knight keep trying to achieve his goal. Yes he never gave up. He did have the heart of a true Knight.

Comments: Nimue of the Lake brings the one true Excalibur to King Arthur. This will make you ask why? This is explained.
Nan while facing a menace pulls out a rocket launcher and no more menace. Nan is one old lady you do not want to mess with.
The Green Knight has come for Rose. Its an axe vs an assault rifle. The outcome is stunning.
The characters herein are legendary Arthur, Merlin, and so many more from olden stories. It is wonderful to see them all interacting. The threat they represent is real. One King does plan to conquer all.
The story this issue now does not have much going on in it. When something does happen of importance it is not played up anywhere near as much as it should be.
The art is beautifully done. The characters are drawn to match their personalities beautifully.
This comic has so much potental yet a lot of it is wasted. These are warriors and monsters they should act like it more. When they do the comic book shines.
Nan this old lady makes this comic readable. She has a way about her that makes her one tough old bird. She faces horrors head on and with a smile that others would run from. She is a delight when she is the focus.

Comments: The first part of this issue is confusing as it really does not explain itself as to what it means in relation to the overall story. Than a fact about Arthur is revealed.
A woman is illustrated in armor and with a sword. Who is she? She is drawn looking amazing. She is Rose and she has survived a lot and now she has become more. Rose holds not just any sword and not just any version of Excalibur. She holds the one true Excalibur pulled from the stone. Rose is the King of Britain.
Queen Rose finds herself in battle against the main King Arthur and it is a short yet not to hard of a battle. They cross swords a couple times and then its over.
So Merlin is upset and he wants revenge on Gran and Duncan. By a betrayal he may get it.
It would be nicer to have a clear plot line. To have a idea of what is going on and why exactly. We do get people that we have no idea who they are or why they are there. The story skips around to much. There is no time to get into any one part of what is going on.
Rose as the Queen of Britain that is the best part of this issue.

Comments: Duncan is in the fight of his life and about to lose that life. He does need help and Gran is unable to do that. Rose looks amazing as she enters the fray on a dragon. Mary now she wants her other son back Galahad. Only way to get him is to sacrifice her other son Duncan. How can a monther chose between her two sons? Mary is definitely not playing with a full deck. Gran has explosives and Merlin is a dragon. So with all these characters from this story together it does grab your attention.
The art is done in a wonderful way to enhance the story showing the mythological characters along side the normal ones. You do get the feel that even with all the powers these mytghological beings have your better off just being a huan being.
The story is winding down. We see Gran, Duncan and Rose going back to their normal lives. They have forgotten all the adventures and all the mythological being they met. Well not all of them.
This issue is the final and the ending is a Happily Ever After one. They just had to go through a life time of deadly danger and pushing themselves beyond their limits. They did it and earned that Happily Ever After.
