Two Scooby’ are better than one was excellent mystery story. I quickly noted two different colored colors on Scooby - Doo One. I never thought Scooby – Doo two might be a robot. I was happy Science Ghoul was captured in trap. I would have hated to see Mystery Inc. Gang be zapped by suspended animation ray. Science Ghoul would not have been so easily captured if he noticed Scooby – Doo was wearing normal blue collar. I liked ending of first story. There is only one Scooby – Doo.
I noticed setting was in Coolsville. I wonder where Coolsville is located? I wonder if Coolsville is located near the suburbs of St. Paul, Minnesota? I noticed hints in issue # 2: “The Roswell Riddle.” Melvin Snug, Roswell City manager mentioned that Mystery Inc. groups accents were from Midwest possibly Minnesota. I’m not sure if I have right location guess. I did further research into town of Coolsville. I noticed writer of script was Terrance Gripe. I recognized that Terrance also lived in Minnesota. I met him at comic book convention. Location might have been mentioned in script just because Terrance lives in Minnesota. I than began to read more back issues. I bought first two trade collected editions at Book World. I noticed story in issue # 7 called Reincarnation Ruckus. Coolsville is Mystery Inc. five intrepid detectives home town. I read this is Scooby – Doo: “Ruh Roh!”
The Haunted Club House showed smart potential for boy who was classmate with kids that use club house. I hope to see future update of boy genius. I could understand why Norville Rogers that is “Shaggy” was never given recommendation from Velma to join Mensa organization. I bet Mensa could not afford food bill to feed Shaggy. Also, Shaggy is not super intelligent like spelling bee champion. I also noticed in issue # 6 “Shaggy” does not like name “Norville.” He corrected Velma by saying: Call me “Shaggy,” okay? That other name, like chaefs me now.
Coolsville Chronicle news paper and Haunted Club House stories were quickly forgotten as I turned page to read third story.
Field of Screams reminded me of Mansfield Baseball Stadium. I even have jacket and hat from field. I bought both online. Author Stephen King built field in Bangor, Maine. I have seen shirt from field naming it Field of Screams. I noticed shirt with that title at Bett's virtual bookstore. Bett's used to be located in Bangor, Maine. I have never heard of tunnel system built under Mansfield Baseball Stadium. Same nick name but different locations. Smalltown and Bangor are different places.
I was surprised vast amount of tunnels did not cause infield to collapse. I was glad to notice Small towns rival baseball teams, the Red Barons and Blue Hawks kids worked together to capture Ghost Coach.
