Comments: "Chapter One: The Awakening"
In Malta City, Rivers State
The coloring is done in a beautiful wash style. The lightning looks amazing as it strikes. A man finds an object which will change his life. Ephraim Baloguin gets super charged on some form of energy. This scene is exciting as you watch the birth of a super-hero.
In the city a huge hulking blue skinned creature is on a rampage. He is after Ephraim or so it seems. Things are not made very clear. We are shown a few of the supporting characters yet their roles are not made clear.
The art style has a unique look that does a fair job of showcasing the characters. It does fit this genre of comic and the people shown in it. Captain-J is briefly shown.
It seems that this is the start to a gathering of super-heroes.

Comments: "Chapter Two: Battle Cry"
Ephraim takes on the big blue guy with his newly activated powers. Captain-J joins him against big blue. The art is to dark making it hard to fully make it out. The fighting with the big blue guy is way do short. Captain J does not get used in action this issue. The pose of big blue and Ephraim facing off is done well and does get you wishing the fight had lasted longer so you could see more of the two of them against each other.
Now explaining more about what is going on would have been great to see. You are kind of left in the dark about a lot of things. Are these heroes coming into being for a reason?
The story needs to focus more on one or two things so you know what is happening. Just having a general atmosphere and not much direction does not grab a readers attention.
The mystery of who the old lady is works nice to end this issue.

Comments: "Chapter Three: Ultimate Power"
A woman and a priest start out this issue in a battle. The Ravenger is still on the loose with Captain-J is pursuit.
As the Revenger attacks Ephraim the Revenger is a massive sight of raw power. The illustration of Captain-J shooting energy from his gauntlets is a powerful scene of raw emotion. The old woman attacks Ephraim and this changes the tide of battle. She is drawn confident in her power. She is also an evil beauty.
We get to see a God in this issue. He plays a hand in looking after Ephraim. Again more needs to be explained.
We do have both super-heroes and super villains here. For the reader to care more about them we need to know more about them. What makes them who they are and why are they doing what they are?
Ephraim is shown as a hero being born. He does fit into the role perfectly.

Comments: "Chapter Four: Destiny"
Diana is a fearsome opponent and Ephraim is learning more about her from the God of Thunder. We are told about the purpose of the Thunder Stones and why they exist.
Diana has power and uses it to release the Akojo-Iku. This is a nightmarish gathering of beasts. These creatures are like something from the deepest bowels of Hell. Malta city is under siege by these demonic things.
Captain-J goes into all out action to protect the city and its citizens. He is drawn in some very acrobatic poses.
The mysterious man in black carrying two guns is a menacing sight. What his roll is is yet to be made known.
Ephraim becomes the new Adiran he is an awesome sight with his lightening powers and the magical ax he wields. He is illustrated in a cool pose that will make you want to come back to see Adiran in action all decked out in his new threads. The action is here and more is coming.
